2012 LSC Lazers
Lazer's Team Philosophy : The LSC Lazer's is a team and program that plays a high level of soccer, at a low cost to the parents. Many of our boys play multiple sports, and this is a team and program that understands that, and works with parents to help each player grow as a soccer player, and lets the boys also play other sports. We are a feeder system for the local high schools, and the LSC Lazers have an excellent track record of placing our players at the local high schools , and beyond. The LSC Lazer's is the top rec travel program in Harford County with more teams, our own tournament in August, as well as our Futsal Academy. We are partnered with the DC United Futsal Academy, as well as our Lazers/DC United Training Camp, and the LSC Winter Futsal League. LSC Lazer's 98, and teams in our program, have not only won many local leagues and tournaments, but some of the top tournaments in Region 1. We also offer team training with local soccer legend Bobby McAvan for a week during the summer. LSC Lazer's 98 has placed first or second in many prestigious tournaments like Hempfield,Dillsburg, Gettysburg, Chesapeake Cup, and a host of others. All of this is offered for about a quarter of the cost that some of the second tier club teams charge, or the second, third, or fourth tier of the big club teams, that suppliment their premier teams off parent's fees from these teams. We have partnered with the top professional team in the area , DC United, to provide the very best training to our players. LSC Lazer's 98 has placed first or second in 21 League and Tournament Championships at the Premier and A level, since it's inception, and finished 2010 ranked #14 in the state of Maryland in the Gotsoccer.com poll. We also put a premium on player development from within our program, and do not resort to the underhanded recruiting tactics that some of the clubs are currently doing.

This was the third tournament the Lazer's went undefeated this year , and they collected their fifth tournament trophy, as they finished with two championships, two finalists, and one third place finish, in five overall tournaments. In the first semi's they dropped a 1-0 decision to Fusion FC on a controversial PK call. Moving into the double elimination bracket, they again faced another grinding game against Panther's Galaxy, and tied 0-0 at the end of regulation, but the Galaxy pulled out the victory in the Dual Shootout PK format. The boys finished up the 2008-09 season with a U-10 A Premier Championship at the Chesapeake Cup in Elkton, MD. The defense and offense was superb, as the Lazers outscored their three opponents 18-0 in three games. The three shutouts highlighted an always stingy defense, the goaltending was outstanding, and the offense finished the season with a flurry of goals. As always, with this group of boys, it was a total team effort, and a great way to end the season.

In the final game, they played a very tough Northwestern Soccer Club team from the Lehigh Valley Soccer League. Northwestern had only dropped two games all year and jumped out to a 2-0 lead on the Lazers. With only a minute and a half remaining, the Lazers scored two goals to stun a very good defensive team, and tie the game at 2-2. 2008 Redlands Summer Classic Tournament
August 16, 2008
The boys had a great tournament finishing as a finalist at the Redlands Summer Classic Tournament in Pennsylvania. In a very evenly matched U-10 division, the Lazers got to the finals, eventually losing in a tough overtime session in the championship game. The eight new Lazers, along with the six returning players from last season's 22 win season, certainly started the season on a very high note. It was a great beginning to the season.
