Boys Varsity Soccer Team defeated Yates

The Boys Varsity Soccer Team defeated Yates H.S. 9-0. The Generals dominated the entire game with a solid defense and manage to put their fourth district game on the winning side. Jose Lopez, Mateo Chancoy, and Mario Reyes both scored 2 goals and Rafael Longoria, Jaime Avila and Kevin Cuevas scored one each for the General's victory. Excellent game for Emanwal Gelmesa who has stepped up in the last two games.
Lee Boys Varsity Soccer Test defeated Waltrip

On Friday January 30 the Lee Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Waltrip H.S. 8-0. The offense dominated the game since the start. Antonio Valdez and Kevin Cuevas both scored twice against a very opened defense of Waltrip. Then Mario Reyes, Jose Lopez, Amanwal Gelmesa and Abel Yemane score the other four for the Generals. The defense and control of the ball was done excellently by Rafael Longoria and Tony Sebagabo.
Lee Boys Varsity defeats Austin High School

Last night the Boys Varsity Soccer Team defeated Austin H.S. 1-0. The Generals showed a much better soccer game than their opponent and were dominant through the game. The goal was scored by Mario Reyes in the 10th minute mark of the first half. The assist was giving by Antonio Valdez who had an outstanding night. On the offense the pressure was done very well by Jose Lopez and in the midfield freshmen Abel Yemane and Kevin Cuevas. On the defense great work by Aldair Baranda, Tony Sebagabo and Rafael Longoria. On the goal an excellent game by Jaime Avila. The generals next game will be on Friday January 30 at Butler Jr. at 4:00pm.
Lee Boys Varsity Beats Rival Westside

GAME RECAP
On Tuesday January 13 the Lee Generals Boys Varsity Soccer Team faced their biggest rival Westside H.S. The game was played at Westside with a few minutes of daylight left after 4 in the afternoon. The Generals started strong and were able to put themselves on the scoreboard 1-0 with a powerful header by Mario Reyes. The half would ended with a 1-0 in favor of the Generals. In the second half Westside came in strong and put in a goal at the 20 minute by a mistake by our defense. The Generals made some adjustments and toward the last 5 minutes of the game Kevin Cuevas put in the winning goal by taking a powerful shot at the right upper 90 corner of the Westside goal. The win is the second on record for the Lee Generals. The next game will be at the Brenham tournament where the Generals will face New Caney H.S. Generals are on a mission. GAME RECAP
On Friday January 9th the Lee Generals Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Alvin H.S. 3-2. The game started with a penalty taken by Antonio Valdez who put the Generals up 1-0. Then there were two mistakes by the General's defense that put Alvin up 2-1 at the half. With a few adjustments and keeping the game in control the Generals came out with a stronger attitude in the second half. There were shots taken by the offense led by Edwin Reyes and Mario Reyes (no relation). It was not until the 25th minute that Edwin Reyes took a powerful shot that ended up in the upper 90 corner of the goal to tie the game 2-2. The control of the game was all on the Generals as Alvin only crossed the half line twice in a 30 minute period. Toward the last 10 minutes of the game Edwin Reyes again from a pass of Antonio Valdez put the ball on the right upper 90 corner of the goal to give the Generals the win 3-2. Excellent defense by Rafael Longoria Juan Paredes and Miguel Murillo. Also, an outstanding job in the midfield by defensive mids Kevin Cuevas and Tony Sebagabo who manage to will most of the loose balls in the midfield.
