LBA INSPIRES AND BUILDS TOMORROW'S FUTURE TODAY!
Legends Basketball Academy(LBA) is designed to offer student-athletes additional opportunities to develop their skills and potential within a competitive environment. Teaching fundamentals serves as the cornerstone of our mission. LBA promotes sportsmanship as the true spirit of competition and believes youth athletics produces the best in all when fair play, cooperation and respect are fundamental principles. LBA teams will compete each year in several tournaments across the state of Virginia, in additional several national/exposure level events associated with the AAU and USBA national basketball programs. LBA's mission also focuses on team competition, social interaction and player development. Our student-athletes are required to maintain all guidelines in regards to academic performance. The Legends Basketball Academy experience will expand the student-athlete's foundation of knowledge and fundamental skill set for now, tomorrow and the future!

LEGENDS 10TH GRADE BOYS TAKE KING OF THE COURT CROWN
The team struggled out the gate in the first pool game versus with an opponent (VA Wolfpack) defeated by 17 three weeks prior. However, as they defeated this squad by double digits then - it did not matter in this one at all. The Wolfpack battled to the end as the Legends pull through with a 5 pt victory just surviving a early morning wake up call. In the second pool game versus Fredericksburg Lightning, the boys picked it up winning by 40 pts. Going 2-0 earned the squad a 1st round bye in bracket play as they awaited their next opponent in the semifinal round. Fredericksburg Lightning won their way back into the semifinals by defeating the Legends 9th grade boys by a basket in 1st round action. After defeating the Lightning in the semifinal - the team matched up with VA Stars/VA Fastbreak from the Williamsburg area. Running away with this one too as the squad exhibited solid lock down defensive and smart execution on the offensive end. GREAT WORK!!!
