15 Strikeouts vs Pendleton

The Knights had superb pitching from both an expected and an unexpected source in an 8-0 win over Pendleton. James Stuart continued what is likely his best season from the mound - going 5 innings and recording 10 K's. In relief was a surprising Joe DiLaura who calmly struck out 5 of the 6 batters he faced. Tony only has to look as far as center field to find another solid hurler this season. We searched the photo archives and found Joe's last appearence on the mound - June 2009.

Toss in a little hitting and defense and you get another Knights win.

Episode VI - Return of the Brink

The Knights opened the 2011 Midget League season with a 12 - 5 win over the visiting Lockport squad.
Tony Oliveri opened the game with a leadoff triple. Cam Caso, Ryan Baird and Joey DiLaura each had multi-hit games. Pitchers James Stuart, Brian Brink, and Troy Licastro gave up just 5 hits from the mound - backstopped by catcher Greg Janese.
