San Juan Soccer “Spooktacular” in Capturing Boo-Fest Crown
The San Juan Lightning 2000 White under-10 boys soccer team defeated America USA Youth Soccer Club 1-0 to take first place at the October 24-25 “Boo-Fest” soccer tournament hosted by Sacramento United. San Juan reached the championship game by defeating Novato United 2-1 and SF Freedom 9-0 in the preliminary round. A 1-1 tie with Manteca Boca in the third round was sufficient to vault the team into the championship game. The final game was an intense, back and forth match that reflected the rivalry that is emerging between these two talented teams. San Juan scored a goal midway through the second half to capture the title in the top and most competitive bracket of the tournament.
Sacramento United’s “Boo-Fest” is one of the largest youth soccer tournaments in the region. Nearly 175 U9-U11 teams from Northern California and Nevada participated in this two-day event. Up next for San Juan is a match against Cal Rush Nike 00 on Saturday, October 31 at Mitchell Middle School in Rancho Cordova. Game time is set for 10:30am.

**PRACTICE INFORMATION AND UPDATES**
November practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kemp 2 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
Make sure that you are sending your player to practice with plenty of water.
Practice attire is as follows: GREY SHIRTS on Tuesdays and WHITE SHIRTS on Thursdays. Coach Rino would also like to remind his players to bring their ball to every practice. GO LIGHTNING '00 WHITE!
