DIVISIONS FOR ALL AGES and ABILITIES

THESE LEAGUES WILL SELL OUT SO REGISTER TODAY!

This Summer Lion League will be offering Men's Leagues in the following Divisions:

Men's A League:  Wednesday Nights

Men's B League:  Thursday Nights

Men's 30+ League:  Thursday Nights

Gyms:  Games will take place at the McCarthy and Parker Middle Schools in Chelmsford,MA  and the Lowell Catholic High School Gym in Lowell, MA.

Game Times:  5:45, 6:35, 7:25, 8:15, 9:05

Each Team is Guaranteed 8 Regular Season Games, and all teams will either qualify for Playoffs for play in a Consolation Round. (A League = Top Teams qualify for playoffs, other teams do not play in post season)

Cost:  This season there is a Team Fee of $1000 (without jerseys).  Players who need jerseys may buy one on night one for $20/jersey.  Jerseys can be worn from previous Lion League seasons (Red/Black or Silver/Red Reversibles).

To Register:  Go to REGISTER ONLINE in the top right hand corner of the web site.  ALL PLAYERS must sign up individually.  Players will be promted to pay a registration fee at completion of online registration.  Players will be paying a $115 fee.  Players must have a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 10.  If you have less than 10 players, you're captain will collect the remaining fee (to cover the $1000 team fee) before night 1.

Rosters:  Every captain must submit a roster before night 1.  Players who are not rostered/registered/paid can not participate on Week 1.

30+ Age Exception:  All 30+ Teams may contain ONE player who in under the age of 30, but not younger than 27 years of age.  This should not a be team's strongest player.  If this player stands out in the 30+ division, this player will not be allowed to participate in the 30+ Division and will be moved to a B or A league team.

DEADLINE:  ALL ROSTERS and REGISTRATIONS should be SUBMITTED BY WEDNESDAY JUNE 12th.

Teams will not have their spot held without registered/paid players.  A Captain may wish to pay a $350 deposit to hold his team's spot.  This depost is non-refundable and all players must still sign up before June 10th.  Captains may also pay an entire team fee online if they wish.

FREE AGENTS:  Players may sign up as Free Agents, and they will be placed on a FREE AGENT teams on a first come/first serve basis.  Once that team has 9 players, the FREE AGENTS will be placed in a FREE AGENT POOL and can be picked up by other teams who are short players.  Players who do not get on a team will have their money refunded to them in full.

YOUTH LEAGUES (K-HS)

Lion League Basketball is excitied to announce that registration will open for all programs (K-8 Boys and Girls, MS/HS Select Workouts, and Mens and Womens' Leagues) on Friday, February 1!

Lion League is a program that has specialized in giving all players who are looking to learn and improve their games the opporunity to receive coaching from top area HS Coaches and College and HS Players.  Each year we have grown due to the quality of the program, our dedication to improving our young players, and most importantly because the kids have FUN!

Lion League is set up to not conflict with other spring sports, as it meets on off times for other sports.  This allows players who play other spring sports to continue to play basketball and improve their games in the off-season, which is crucial to youth development.  Lion League is also a great compliment to those who are playing AAU Basketball in the spring.  

This season Lion League will focus the entire first half of the season on skill development and the 2nd half on a competitive game schedule.  One new aspect of Lion League will be the addition of Team Practice Sessions to go along with our Popular Skills Nights.  

Lion League will also be running new SELECT WORKOUT PROGRAMS that will be available to a limited number of players who wish to get additional skill and drill work with top area HS coaches.  The programs will be run under the banner of REVOLUTION BASKETBALL which is still owned and operated by Lion League Athletics LLC.  These sessions will be for players looking for more advanced/intense instruction.

MENS/WOMENS LEAGUES

Lion League runs one of the best Adult Programs in the area and this year we will be bringing back our Women's League.  All of our adult leagues are very popular and SELL OUT FAST so don't miss out on getting your team in.  Our Adult Leagues are so successful because we format our league based on competition.  There are leagues for every talent level.  In all of our leagues our talent level is grouped together even further as we have multiple tiers of playoffs so more than 1 team has a shot at winning a Championship!  

This season the Women's League will take place on Tuesday nights.  Men's 30+ League and A League will take place on Wednesday Nights, and Men's B League will take place on Thursday nights.  All of our leagues have a scorer and two patched officials.  Teams will compete in an 8 week regular season, and all teams qualifty for playoffs.

NEW THIS SEASON:  LION LEAGUE YOUTH VOLLEYBALL

This season Lion League is excited to announce that it will be adding a Youth Volleyball Program.  This program will be heavy on instruction and will be led by Kristen Lyons.  Kristen has a great knowledge of the game from playing in both high school and college and coaching at the high school level.  Kristen also teaches in the Chelmsford School System.  We are very excited to bring Kristen into the fold to start our new program!  More details will be released on this program soon.
