To: 2010 Long Island Stan Musial Baseball League teams
Thank you for choosing LISM for your 2010 baseball league. Running a team at any level in any sport is a huge responsibility. It takes hard work and commitment to run a successful organization that will enjoy a season of competitive baseball.
The LI Stan Musial League offers several levels of baseball. The divisions are:
Summer League – Season Starts Sunday May 23 - August 22. Teams are scheduled for 26 - 7 inning games with doubleheaders on Sundays and Playoffs.
We have 6 divisions:
D1 Wood – Our most competitive division. Most likely the best competition on Long Island. A lot of college players and players looking to further their career in baseball.
D2 Wood – Less competitive than D1 but a great division to play wood bat and enjoy your summer.
D2A Wood – Good for younger teams and first year teams.
D1 Metal – Very good competition with aluminum bat. One of our strongest divisions.
D2 Metal – Less competitive than D1 but there are a lot of good quality teams that enjoy this division.
D2A Metal - Good for younger teams and first year teams.
Spring/Summer League –It begins the Sunday after Easter (April 18) and runs 15 weeks (Ending July 25). Games are on Sundays and some weeknights. The schedule consists of 15 – 9 inning games and playoffs.
Fall League - Extra baseball to end the season. Begins the week after Labor Day and ends first week of November.
League Fees:
Spring League $1,250.00
Summer League $1,800.00 *$250 credit for teams with home field
Fall League $950.00
Umpires Fees: 7 inning Game $75.00 and 9 inning game $90.00
