Tryout Information

Open tryout dates are listed below.  If those dates are not convenient for you or if you wish to inquire about making other arrangements for a separate tryout, please contact Ron Wood, VP of Player Development.

 
Tryouts for the 2013 - 2014 Soccer Year have been scheduled.  Please make sure you get registered by clicking the appropriate link below!
 
Boys
U8 - U10 (entering 2nd grade through 4th grade in Fall of 2013)
Saturday May 18th:  5:30pm to 7:00pm
Tuesday May 21st:  5:30pm to 7:00pm
 
U11 - U14 (entering 5th grade through 8th grade in Fall of 2013)
Saturday May 18th:  7:00pm to 8:30pm

Save yourself time and effort at the check-in table - download and complete this waiver form .  All participants must turn in this form in order to participate, so please come prepared!
 
 
Location for all tryouts:  Lombard Commons Park in the field just south of the basketball courts along Grace Street approximately 1 block south of St. Charles Rd.
Firebirds Annual Summer Soccer Camp 2013

 UK International Camps are coming to Lombard Firebirds SC.

UK Internationals objective is to create the optimal environment in your own community in which children can learn and develop under the guidance of our ‘ultimate soccer educators'.

Coaches, primarily from Great Britain, are selected not only for their knowledge and their coaching ability, but also for their commitment to creating a fun, positive learning environment for the players. The result is a soccer camp experience players will remember for a lifetime.

All camp sessions are based on individual attention to ball skills, as well as fun games to put those skills into practice and develop teamwork. Players are encouraged to express themselves in order to develop confidence and individual creativity on the field.

Camp Dates:  July 29 - August 2

Youth Soccer Night at Glenbard East High School.   Monday, April 15th is Rams Youth Soccer Day at Glenbard East High School.  Come watch Glenbard East take on Glenbard South High School (both rosters are filled with current and former Firebirds players).  Both the JV1 game and the Varsity game are at 4:30 pm.  JV1 is on the grass field and the Varsity game on the new turf field.  All Firebirds players wearing their jersey will receive a free raffle ticket and the chance to win prizes, including retired Glenbard East jerseys and Free Rams Camp Admission .  There will be t-shirts and other spiritwear items randomly distributed throughout the Varsity game.  Wear your Firebirds jersey and come on out to cheer on the girls!
 
Junior Firebirds to begin on Monday, April 15. 
The Junior Firebirds program is a joint program with the Lombard Park District designed to teach children skills and techniques that will make them better soccer players while having a lot of fun.  Children will meet once a week with a professional soccer trainer for 5 weeks, every Monday from April 22 to May 20, 2013.  The program, which is open to non-Firebirds boys and girls in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grades, will meet from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, at Sunset Knoll Park.  The cost is $35 for Lombard residents ($40 for non-residents).  To register, call the Lombard Park District at 630-627-1281 or visit www.lombardparks.org.  The program registration code for the Junior Firebirds is 101120-01.

The Firebirds Soccer Clubis a competitive travel soccer club offering programs for the youth of Lombard and the surrounding communities. We have teams for both boys and girls from age U8 (under 8) to U19 as well as an Over 35 Men's team.

Established in 1994, the Firebirds motto is: Play Hard, Have Fun!

Our mission is to provide a quality environment in a competitive atmosphere for those children and young adults who are willing to dedicate their time and effort to the great game of soccer; we emphasize the integrity of the game, exemplified by the utmost good sportsmanship with the primary purpose to develop all players to the best of their ability.
