 GAME # 8  FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON

10/26/13 FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON CIVIC FIELD BELLINGHAM

WOW What a game at civic field for LTI, on the second play of the game William C throws a pass to Jackson #31 who takes it 57 yards for the score with the EP by Ryan. With great defensive stops by both teams cars gets a score Cade S makes a big stop on the ep try 7-6 LTI. With Great O line blocking from Matt B, Case Z, Coleson B, Cade S & Gavin S, that set up power running and another big one a 52 Yard run to the house by #31 LTI leads 13-6. 2 plays later a pick by #31...helps to lead LTI back down the field to a score from 5 yards out by #31. Just before the half a second pick of the day by Jackson..19-6 at the half. The second half was a great battle of back and forth power football. A fumble recovery from Ethan Wilson was a great LTI football moment. LTI had many huge tackles on the day coming from Jamison H, Chase M, Case Z, Landon S, Isaac V, Connor W, Matt B, Cade S, Jackson A and a host of other LTI players. With power running and two late cars scores the game was now tied 19-19, LTI had just seconds to score but the clock runs out. To start the Overtime period LTI has the ball on the 10 yard line but fails to score, cars score. and the final is 26-19..This was truly a great game and LTI Players each held their heads High and are proud of what they have accomplished this season. Of LTI's 20 players 16 return to Jr football LTI players want ALL to know they are READY FOR THE SEASON TO START NOW!

LTI Coaches are fully confident that each Lynden player will be very successful in their many sports seasons to come. These players learned some great life skills and showed that Together Each Achieve More. We look forward to coaching these players again very soon. Also the LTI staff would like to thank all that support the Lynden Youth Football program, We have a great community and it's obvious why Lynden programs are successful. Thank You Jerry for helping with the Tools of our Trade and Another Great Season of Learning...Also A Big shout out to a Lynden vs. Lynden Senior championship and the Lynden Vet Team League Title Congratulations Players/Team.

Coach Rick

 GAME # 7 BLAINE HS   10/19/13

When it comes to a Lynden vs. Lynden matchup you knew this would be a good game and a good game it was with LTI coming out on top 26-13. Starting off a bit slow in the cool, foggy morning air. LTI began warming up and many great football moments were recorded on both sides of the ball. The Offense was led down the field by great blocking, miss direction handoffs and power running. A 3 rushing TD day plus a punt return score shows that a never quit motor with speed is why Jackson is a Team Leader. Another Big offensive moment was the William fake reverse keeper run to the 7 yard line, yes we have seen this play before. Connor White punches in an big extra point with a huge second and third outstanding football effort. As for the big Defensive moments many backfield hits were recorded by Cade S. who was in Beast Mode! also recording tackles/hurries/blocks on the day were Matt B, Case Z, Ryan K, Gavin S, Jackson A, Connor W, Isaac V, Kole A. THIS WAS A 100% Team Effort,  A Day To Be Proud Of. LTI Coaches would like to recognize Kole Antypas for his pass breakups and great open field tackles…Kole is a LTI Standout Player. LTI is off to Civic field next Saturday to face Ferndale in the final game of the season.

GAME # 6

  10/12/13

 Our LTI players stepped on the LMS field ready to play football and gave a Great Team Effort Today. LTI Defense was led by big hitter Ryan Kleindel who recorded an Interception 15+ tackles/assists/big hits on the day......additional big hits/tackles coming from Chase B, Chase M, Landon S, Cade S, Gavin S, Jackson A, Isaac V  and others an end zone fumble recovery from Kole A. was a another great LTI defensive moment. We should give credit to Yeh players for the hard hitting consistent pressure put on our O line Best of Luck to Lynden’s Yeh in the playoffs.…that being said the LTI O line needed to work extremely hard to help keep the ball moving down field. A William C to Jackson A. handoff in the open field led to a He Could Go All The Way first score of the day…on its next offensive series yeh prepared for a Jackson reverse run but William C keeps the ball and heads downfield to score LTIs second long TD of the day. With many of our LTI players being first year players and maybe some a bit undersized this Never stops the overall individual efforts every day. With only 4 LTI players heading up to the senior division coaches are very confident that what ever division players play in each will have the tools necesarry to have a successful season of learning/playing. Above all LTI coaches are very proud our players for the individual effort, great sportsmanship and TEAMWORK played in our games this Season.

GAME # 5

 10/05/13

With the sun ready to shine LTI’s Defense started the day with a takeaway on the second play of the game and never looked back. A late great goal line stance led to a 33-0 shutout over Lummi. Defensive interceptions and recovered fumbles came from Hunter H, Jamison H, Isaac V, Jackson A and Luke W with Big Defensive hits/stops from Ethan F, Chase M, Chase B, Matt B, Connor W, Ryan K, William C and nearly every LTI player. The O attack was led by William C with snaps from Coleson B and great O Line work from starters Case Z, Matt B, Cade S & Gavin S. A William to Ethan Wilson TD reception started LTI’s scoring with additional LTI scores on the day coming from 7 additional LTI players Jackson A, Ryan K, Kole A, Connor W, William C, Jamison H & Matt B.  LTI players continue to improve at each learning moment. Lynden’s youngest team in the JR division have shown that their hard work has rewards. With 1 regular season game remaining LTI is currently in a 4 Team tie at 4-1 and looking for a playoff opportunity. Great Work LTI Players.

GAME # 4

09/28/13 10:00am

Wet, wet and cool migh be a good way to describe our game against Nooksack. LTI players had to work very hard against a big strong team in less than perfect weather conditions. With defense being the theme of our game today the LTI defense held strong for the entire game or shall we say until the last couple of minutes. Huge defensive Stops on the day come from Chase M, Cade S, Jackson A, Ryan K, Matt B, William C. Both teams had a hard time holding onto the ball with LTI coming out on top in the takeaway category. The LTI offense was led by Jackson A. touchdown runs, the first was a 90+ Yarder that was a near safety, with Nooksack scoring and taking a 7-6 lead with less than 2 minutes on the clock Jackson went back to work and ran a 60+ yarder for LTI's second score of the day Ryan K runs in the EP and LTI led the game 13-7 with a minute to go. A GREAT final Defensive stand gives LTI it's 3rd WIN of the season. We would like to add that the often forgotten position "Center" held by Coleson Blankers was played very well in these not so perfect weather conditions.

===================================================================================

 GAME # 3

09/21/13 9:45am

Bigger, Stronger, Faster was the theme of today’s game vs. Mt Baker. With a little extra sleep LTI was ready to play football. We led the game in all statistical categories. Our substitutions were exceptional and all players stepped up and were ready to go in when asked. On the defensive side of the ball some big stops came from Cade Slayton, Chase Beeman, Luke Winterburg, Jackson Apol, Hunter Holman, Isaac VanderVeen & Case ZweegmanOn Offense today our players all made great adjustments and played multiple positions as asked. 5 TD's From Jamison (1), Ryan (1), Landon (1), & Jackson (2) were outstanding and let’s not forget Kole Antypas had two receptions from William. We played Team Football today Thank You Players.

====================================================

GAME # 2

09/14/13 8:30am

Another very early wakeup call was not so friendly to our LTI Football team. Our players came out and played good football against a team that was a bit quicker off the ball today. Jamison had a great pick and a strip for two takeaways. We had some great tackles and extra efforts from LTI players William, Jackson, Landon and Chase M to name a few. Yes we lost outside containment on 3 sepperate 4th down plays, overall our players shut down their run game. Each week we do make adjustments and players are learning multiple positions on the football field. We will put this game behind us and come out next week ready to play football at LHS.....We practice hard let's come and play hard. Our season is based on safety, sportsmanship, improvements & TEAMWORK.

GAME #1

09/07/13 8:00am

A TOTAL TEAM EFFORT TODAY GREAT WORK LTI PLAYERS. A very early wakeup call for LTI players and we executed what we have learned in practices. Defense was outstanding on nearly every play. Huge hits and tackles were delivered by many. Ryan K had the big hit of the day and All players responded with many of their own. Jackson and Jamison had huge fumble recoverys. A Jackson punt return and big runs on the day gave us great field position. The O Line worked very hard and was recognized by Jackson and the coaching staff for the great work they did. Our game continues to improve, as mentioned we have many things to learn. For some players it happens in game 1 and for others it can happen at any moment. This is a Team sport we practice and play as a TEAM, THANK YOU TO ALL...
