All cancelled and rescheduled games must be reported to the umpire coordinator, Justin Barzak. Any rain out must be reported to Justin ASAP. Please be courteous to the umpires so they don't drive needlessly to the park. As soon as you declare your game a rain-out, call justin. Also, let President Cory Webb know of rescheduled games to ensure the field is available.

The photographer keeps a tight schedule so please be in uniform and ready to go when your time comes. Teams are encouraged to participate in the Hit A Thon once your pictures have been taken. Please Welcome the Maplewood Rocket!!
The MAC is happy to show off our new (old) tractor for the organization. One of the hardest workers each year at the park is our faithful tractor...this workhorse has served our teams without fault for many years. The MAC thought this winter would be a nice time to sharpen up its appearance . Bryan Carlson and his crew from B.C. Automotive donated their time and materials to give the MAC something we can all be proud of. Along with the paint and flames they improved the hitch and installed diamond-plate foot rests. Finally a chrome stack topped everything off as a final touch! Make sure to check out the "Rocket" the next time you are at the park and be sure to thank Mr. Carlson and his crew for a job well done!

Mandatory Parents Meeting March 21st!!
All parents should plan to attend the 2013 MAC Parents Meeting on Thursday, March 21st at 6 pm. The meeting will take place at Johnston Fire Hall in Johnston Center. You do not have to bring your player to this meeting. The officers will give an update on the MAC and a treasurer's report. This is also a good time to meet your coach and learn the schedule for the upcoming season. We hope to see you there!

2nd ANNUAL "NIGHT AT THE RACES" JANUARY 19, 2013!!!
The Maplewood Athletic Club will be hosting its 2nd Annual Nite at the Races on Saturday January 19th at Garden Brook. 2013 REGISTRATION DATES SET!!!
The 2013 dates for MAC registration has been set for January 12-13 and January 23. Registration will be held at the Mecca Fire Hall. The cost for 2013 is...$85 for first player, $75 for second player, $65 for third player. You will receive $10 back during the season if you work at least 1 day in the concession stand.

NEW OFFICERS FOR 2013
At the December 10th meeting new officers were nominated and voted into position for the 2013 season. Mark Murray is the new vice president replacing Joe Nay who served 5 years at that post. Joe was voted in as the new girls' commissioner. Ryan Webster was voted in as the new boys' commissioner. All three will join President Cory Webb and Treasurer Stephanie Webster for the 2013 season. All Pee Wee managers are to report to their tournament draw this Sunday. Boys' draw will be at the Champion Complex at 1 pm. Girls' will be at First Community Church of Leavittsburg accross from the old LaBrae HS on West Market St. All managers must bring their official roster to the draw. The annual MAC Opening Day Celebration will begin at Noon on Saturday, April 28th. All players are encouraged to obtain pledges for the Hit A Thon and participate after their pictures. PRACTICE SCHEDULE FOR APRIL 2012
Below is the official practice scheudle for April for the Pee Wee Field (PW) and the Girls' Field (GF). Please note all Cal Ripken teams will work amongst themselves to share their fields.
Ground Rules: There is no "first come first serve" on any available field during April. The field belongs to the scheduled team. Teams are permitted to swap dates but the printed schedule will rule any conflict. There are no rain-out make-up dates. Please be courteous with field times on Saturday. Please police the dugouts after each practice. Report any problems or mistakes to an officer ASAP.
