MatCat Registration Coming Soon!
The South Lyon MatCats will hold registrations on October 5, 2009. All forms are currently loaded to the site and can be downloaded prior to the meeting. Anyone with questions can feel free to email the web site through the normal link.
Registration is for children between the ages of 5 and 14.
We look forward to seeing you at the registration meeting!
New Tournament Procedure
Many have you attended at least one tournament and can see how crazy the day can be for the parent and coaches. To help the coaches out there are two procedures that are being implemented this weekend.
1. Each boy needs to check in with a coach after he weighs- in. This will let the coach know your son is present and can also write down his weight.
2. At the food table, there will be a royal blue binder for parents to sign your son out before you leave. There will be a few questions for the parent to answer:
a. How many athletes were in your sons bracket?
b. How many wins did your son have?
c. How many losses did your son have?
d. How many pins did your son have?
Our coaches need to coach the boys and not worry about paperwork. If every parent can help with the above information we will be able to use the information for the newspaper, team award if the tournament offers a team trophy and awards.
With the amount of kids wrestling and few coaches we needed to implement the above procedures. If the information is not filled out your son will not receive credit during the award banquet.
