    Our Mt. Airy Football Program

WE'VE MOVED to www.mtairyfootball.org official site of Mt.Airy Football.

Thanks for visiting the MAYAA Football Website. In order to bring enhanced capabilities and functionality to our families, we have decided to move our website to www.mtairyfootball.org. As you can imagine, a move of this magnitude takes some coordination, so please be patient with us, as we come up to speed with new software and hosting technology. We will do our best to provide updated information as soon as it comes available.

    GO BULLDOGS!!!"

    Thank You

Mount Airy Youth Athletic Association Football has been serving Mt. Airy, Maryland and the surrounding area for 40 years.

We are one of the most successful youth football organizations in Maryland, drawing players from Frederick, Carroll, Howard, and Montgomery Counties. We offer football for all levels from age 6 to 15 as well as flag football for the younger kids. We are a long-time member of the Mountain Valley Football League (MVFL).

Our facilities, located at the Mt. Airy Firemen's Activities Grounds, boast a lighted Bulldog Stadium, which allows for the playing of night games. We also have a full service concession stand and plenty of on-site parking.

The Mount Airy Youth Athletic Association is a proud member of the Character Counts program.

Welcome to the 2007 Mt. Airy Football Season

    2007 Mt. Airy Football Season

This is not about football! This is MORE than football! This is about who you are and what you represent! This is about Mt. Airy!
    -Coach Pannell

    Dear Parents, Players and Fans,

Mt. Airy Football would like to personally congratulate MAYAA for reaching its 40th Anniversary in 2007! Well done! We owe our program to this strong tradition and will honor those that have come before us, this entire season! With that said, we’d like to welcome you to the 2007 football season!

We would first like to thank you for giving us the privilege of working with you, your son(s) and/or daughter(s) on their journey through sports and athletics. Our success is indisputable; however, what should never be overlooked is our commitment to the families that live within our communities.

If you are new to our family, you will find that there is no other program more committed or more inspiring than what we do here in Mt. Airy. We believe in football at its grass roots: you can only get out of the game, what you put into it. We believe that there is a difference between “catering to” players versus providing those that dedicate themselves, an opportunity to represent Bull Dog Blue in the Mountain Valley Association.

If you are a returning parent, player or fan, then what about that JV Team of 2006???!!! Undefeated, undisputed and arguably the most dominant football team that has ever worn the Blue and Gold at any level! We are humbled by your continued support of our program through the years. As is often stated and fully believed by our program and staff, “You could have chosen any other team in the area, but you are here with us!”

Recapping 2006, we would like to once again congratulate Coach Gary Gray and the JV team for their Super Bowl Championship! This team played football like we all dream it can be played. Not as individual stars, but as a disciplined machine that didn’t just win football games, but won the admiration of their opponents and their fans! Our Flag Program kept growing and performing under Dan Eisenhart and his coaches, as they showed that the Bull Dog Spirit starts early! At Mini Pony, Coach Dave Stieren and his boys were devastating, forcing several fans to salivate over the upcoming players! As usual, Coach Art Tate and his Pony team showed the strength of their resolve, even though they fell just short of their sixth straight trip to the Super Bowl by 1 point, in overtime! As for Varsity, we all know that they struggled in 2006, but for those of us that were there for their last game of the season, we witnessed exactly what it is about this program that we love!

In 2007, Mountain Valley will press onward with Division II in answer to our ever-increasing numbers. The format for these teams will be determined based on the registration period for each Mountain Valley program, but the initial estimation is that we will again field teams at Mini Pony, Pony and JV!

We thank you in advance for your support of the Mt. Airy Football program as we continue to strive to meet the needs of every family in our community!

    GO BULL DOGS!!!

    Regards,

    2007 Football Committee
