First Meeting Feb 16th 7:00 pm

2/9/12 Update: The 2012 Season will start off with our first meeting on February 16, 2012 at 7:00 pm. Place to be announced. We will use this meeting to discuss various topics and address any concerns for the upcoming 2012 season. We will be having several more meeting before the season so this is not mandatory. The first order of business will be to welcome back to Meco Ballpark for the 2012 season, Vinny Salvione and Jamin Clemente. With their experience and dedication to Meco Ballpark, they will help establish Meco Ballpark as the best place to play softball in the area. I look forward to a great 2012 season and future at Meco Ballpark.
12/17/11 updated: The 2012 Season will be here before we know it and with this crazy weather, we might even be on the field in April. I would like to take time to let everyone know that Meco Ballpark 2012 will bring many positive additions to the park. We will be using ASA umpires for the Rec League and will be using a full time scorekeeper who will be announcing the games as well as entering all stats and standings. Some of the new items at Meco Ballpark for 2012 will be:
--ASA Umpires for Recreational League --Cash Prizes for Champion and Runner-up teams of both leagues. --Wireless internet at the park --Stats and Standings updated weekly --Live streaming of games on Internet --Batting Cage open daily for softball or baseball --Full Access to the park for Sponsors to promote their products/services
To further the charitable goals of Meco Ballpark, all tips given while I am running the snack bar will be donated to a local charity on a weekly basis. In addition, we will be finding ways, such as 50/50 raffles and home run derbys to generate additional money for local charities. Anyone who has a charity or would like to host a fundraiser is more than welcome to. I would like to welcome Beejay Fassett as our Not for profit contact for Meco Ballpark. She has been involved with a large number of local charities and not-for profit-programs and will be in charge of scheduling events, collecting the donations and presenting the dontations to each charity. Please contact her on Facebook and let her know how much her time will be appreciated next year. 2012 Rec Medium Pitch
1) 12 Team Rec Medium Pitch League 18 game season. (1 or 2 divisions to be determined by committee). 2) ASA Umpires will be used for every scheduled game. 2 ASA Umpires for playoffs. 3) League Fees $850.00 (Due prior to schedule being created. Any team not paid in full prior to schedule being created will not be on the schedule). 4) All statistics and standings will be entered on League Lineup for every game. If statistics and standings are not entered by the Monday of every week for a team, that team will be given a $50 bar tab for that week. 5) All star game will be a 1 (9 inning) game and will consist of 3 players from each team. 6) Playoffs will be based on number of rounds. Semi and Championship games will be best of 3 games. 7) Champion of the 2012 Summer Softball League will win $250.00 credit towards 2013 team fee, $150.00 Tab at the Concession Stand, Trophy and 2012 Championship shirts. 2nd Place will received a $150.00 Tab at the Concession Stand. 8) There will be a "money back guarantee" given by the Meco Ballpark to show good faith. 1) 10 Team High Arc League 18 game season 2) League Fees $650.00 (Due prior to schedule being created. Any team not paid in full prior to schedule being created will not be on the schedule).
