TIGERS WIN 5TH TITLE- 3RD IN A ROW
The Tigers went to Snowden Grove Park , MS for Mother's Day week-end USSSA AA Open. This tournament had the best 7-yr old teams in the area along with some great teams from MS & ARK. The Tigers sweep throught their bracket for #1 seed. Starting the Tournament with The Germantown Giants on Friday night. Hard hitting and great defense won it for the Tigers. Final 16-6 Tigers. Next the Tigers played an outstanding team from ARK, the Seminoles in what was probably the best game of the tournament. This came down to the last bat, Tigers down by 1 with runners on 1st and 2nd & 2 outs. The Tigers Steven Kendrick Hit the big line drive getting 2 RBI's to score the tieing and winning runs to end the game. Ethan Evers scored the tieing run & William Locke with blazing speed scored the winning run beating a close play at the plate. 11-10 Tigers. The Tigers only loss came from the Blue Travelers in a tough defensive battle where Tigers just had too many errors along with flat bats to only give this one away by 2 allowing 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th and coming back to only score 2 in the top of the 5th.
Championship Sunday came with a semi-final matchup against a hard hitting Bolton Wildcat team. The Tigers jumped out quick going up 7-2 after 2 innings. However the Wildcats started pounding the ball and plated 5 runs of their own in the top of the 3rd. The Tiger defense settled down and the Bats plated 11 more runs in the next 3 inning to put it out of reach for the Wildcats. Toby Wilson's triple with 2 outs to start a 4 run rally in the top of the 4th stretched the Tiger's lead to 15-7. This gave The Tigers the right to fight for the Championship Title.
The Tigers would have to wait a see who would win between the Giants and Travelers in their semi-final match-up and set up a re-match between the Tigers and one of these two teams. The Giants with some strong defense and great hitting secured their spot in the championship game winning 10-2.
TIGERS VS GIANTS CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
The game started out a defensive battle with the Tigers going up by 1 in the second and staying that way for the first 3 innings. The Tigers plated 2 more runs in the top of the 4th, while the Giants squeezed in 1 run at the bottom of the 4th. Ethan Evers made the crucial stop in right field & with a perfect throw home to Cody Floyd (who was in great position) Held runners on third and second during what was looking like a Giants rally. After this great play the Tiger defense stiffened not allowing another run that inning. The Tiger bats came alive and plated 8 runs in the top of the 5th and 6th to put it out of reach for the Giants. Christopher Swanberg Knocked in the game winning RBI with a great single between 3rd and short. Great Job Chris. Final 11-3 Tigers
Great job Tigers !!! A special thanks to all the moms who spent the day at the park with their boys on Mother's Day. This Group has turned into a great team and family.

THE TIGER DEFENSE FOR GREAT TEAMWORK
The Tigers win the Traveler Invitational. The Tigers proved the old theory you never give up until the last out is made. The Tigers started out in pool play with some good wins against the Wildcats and Eagles Saturday. On Sunday the Tigers had to face the Giants and with all the time changes, the Tigers showed up 2 1/2 hours early. The Giants showed up ready to play and put the Tigers on their heels. The Tiger defense just never got in rhythm in this game. The Giants just flat took this one.
The Elimination rounds started with the Tigers facing the Travelers. These 2 teams are nothing but solid. The First inning was over and the score was 3-3. The Tiger bats went flat and the Travelers started chipping away, scoring 1 run in each of the next 3 innings. Both teams went scoreless in the fifth. The Travelers tacked 1 more run on in the Top of the 6th. The Tigers were at the bottom of the batting order when Steven Kendrick hit a hard shot down third, then with an overthrow at first Steven sneaked over to 2nd to get the bats started. The Tigers bats came alive and put 5 runs in to secure a spot in the Championship game. Drew Nicholson won the opening toss for the Tigers to select Home team. Little did he know he would be up to bat in the last inning with 2 outs and 2 men on. Drew came through big as he did by winning the toss to hit a monster shot to right and drive Bam Bam Cochran in for the winning run.
The Championship game came and the Giants came ready play. After a slow start by the Tigers Defense the Giants went up 8-2 after 2 innings. Then The Tigers got stiff and the Bats came alive. The Tigers put up 8 runs in the 4th and tacked on 2 more in the 5th. The Tigers Defense stood strong allowing the Giants only 2 more runs the rest of the game. Final 12-10 Tigers. The Tigers never gave up all week-end with 2 very good wins from behind against some great teams.
GO TIGERS!!
