The Metro Detroit's Finest is a softball team comprised entirely by police officers from the Metro Detroit / Southeast Michigan area. The team, which was founded in 2008, plays in several charity softball tournaments across the nation, each year. These events generally raise money to help support families of officers that were killed in the line of duty.

The members of our softball team are of the highest caliber on the fields, respective job assignments, communities and most of all their lives. It is a very special honor for all of us to be affiliated with the members of this organization, but more so such a high class of men and women in law enforcement.

There are many excellent Police Softball Teams not only in Michigan, but throughout the country. With a lot of hard work, sweat, sacrifice, and camaraderie, the Metro Detroit's Finest team will join those ranks. Softball is a team sport and much like everyday police work it takes great teammates to succeed. This is why we believe Metro Detroit's Finest will be a force for years to come.

I would like to personally thank all the members of this softball organization for their commitment to make this team one of the highest quality teams around. Let's do well in our first tournament and build on this team for next year.

On a final note, Metro Detroit's Finest would like to thank our many sponsors. Without the finacial support that you provide, MDF would struggle to exist. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and never taken for granted.
