Register NOW for The Sandlot’s Summer Baseball and Softball Camps on of the following dates in Middletown, NJ featuring The Sandlot’s Instructors below, along with current and former collegiate players. This comprehensive baseball camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game.

 Baseball Instructors:
Mike Eckert –  Asst. Head Coach @ Holmdel HS, Head Coach, Asst Coach @ Mater Dei Prep from 2007-22, 2022 B-Central Coach of Year, 2014 Asst. Coach of The Year by SCBA,  As a player 3rd team All-State, 2 time All-County Catcher, 4yr player @ NC Wesleyan College, MVP in 87’ of 3rd place CWS, Capt. In 87’ and 88’. Played for currently retired UNC coach Mike Fox.

Kevin Bearse – 
2 time NJ All-State Pitcher, 3rd team All-American @ ODU, Drafted by Cleveland Indians in 86’, Rolaids Relief Pitcher of the year 87’ and 88’ in’ Appalachian and Carolina League, 1990 fifth starter for Indians and 1991, AAA w/ Expos. Coach Kevin has been a pitching coach for the past 20yrs and highly regarded!!

Andrew LaMura- 2 time All-Shore Conference selection, 2 time All-State @ RBC. All Conf and All-Region at Felician College. Honorable mention All-American NCAA Dll. Also was Student Athlete of the year 2017. Coach Andrew spent the past 3 years as an Asst. Varsity Coach at RFH. 

Softball Instructor:

Ryan Rasmussen – She is going into her 4th year as assistant coach at Middletown North. Ryan was a 4-year starter at catcher for North from 2013-17. She was part of 2 shore conference championships and 3 divison titles. Named 2016 defensive player of the year. Also played travel ball with the Flames.

 The camp is for students ages 5 1/2 to 13(entering HS). Students will be divided up by age and skill level. All students will receive a camp T-shirt. Sign up NOW to insure your spot. Tyler LaVine - Coach Tyler is Asst Coach @ Freehold Twp and former MDP asstistant . Tyler loves the game and coaches various travel teams age 12 and college league. Tyler played catcher for me at MDP. Glad to have him back  

Kevin Olausen   - Kev "Big Daddy" returns for his 9th year at The Sandlot. Kev is currently coaching football at Salve Regina. Kev  played first base and pitched while at Mater Dei. Kev played football at Salve Regina University.. Kev brings great excitement and love of the game to the camp.

Ryan Frontera -      Ryan a starter and All-Division and Conference for Mid North @SS  . Ryan  brings  a lot of baseball knowledge and excitement to the Sandlot . Ryan will continue his playing at Seton Hall next fall.. 

Dylan Wanagiel - Dylan returning as camp coach. Dylan has been with the Sandlot for over 10years. Dylan finshed up his career at RBC helping the Caseys to the SCT title. Dylan excelled on the mound for Caseys. We are happy to have Dylan on staff. Dylan currently pitching @ Ocean CC.

Chase Hardy - returning for his 5th year as coach. Chase played 2nd base at Mater Dei. Outstanding fielder, Chase brings his excitement for camp everyday.
