Attention Players in the Adult Inline League. The purpose of this notice is to explain the expectations of league play and to notify players what type of calls they can expect from the referees. Obviously, Minnesota is prevalent in ice hockey. However, inline Hockey is a completely different sport and the referees will follow the rules of inline hockey. The only contact allowed in inline hockey is accidental and incidental and it's up to the refs to call what they think is more.

Many players in this league have had a high level of experience in hockey. Many of these leagues allowed a player to physically cause another player to cough up the puck. They also may have questioned the referees' penalty call by using profanities. These instances are not allowed in this league for a couple of reasons. Number one, contact is not allowed in inline hockey and profanity is not necessary and is not a sign of respect for the referees. Number two, this is a public rink used by many minors. Ever wonder why most adult hockey leagues are held late at night? As it it is, inline seems to be a curiosity for ice users. They are not used to seeing inline and the league has a tendency to attract many young viewers along the boards. Please set an example for the younger players. It's a great sport and lets grow it. If you have to check or use clutching, grabbing and hooking in an environment of four on four with no icing and no offsides, you don't belong in this league.
We appreciate feedback on the league and it will be used for improvement. Thanks for your consideration.
