H1N1 ALLIANCE Hockey Education, Prevention - Pre-game Protocol
STRATFORD (October 29, 2009) – The ALLIANCE Hockey Representative Council has developed a three level approach to dealing with the H1N1 virus:
1. Educate all participants and parents about the virus 2. Preventive Measures – Precautions that should be taken 3. Game protocol to prevent the spread of the virus for all Referees, Coaches and Players
The coaching staff is hoping that besides themselves all parents will do their best to adhere to the recommendations put forth by the Alliance. We ask that all parents take a moment to go over the documents provided. At the next game the children will be given a water bottle with their number on it to take home. It will be the responsibility of the parent to make sure their child's water bottle is cleaned and filled for each game and practice. Please go over with your child they are only to use their water bottle. You will also notice that the protocol for shaking hands has also changed. Since our team does not have a captain we will rotate through the children numerically to do the pre-game sportsmanship glove tap with the other teams representative.
