Congratulations to the miramonte players & coaches on a sucessful 2008-09 season. The team went 7-3 in league and 19-5 overall. The team had a nice run in the NCS 1st round game before falling short in the NCS quarter finals. The season came to its final conclusion at the season end banquet.
We wish the best for our seniors: Chelsey Christensen, Nicholle Miller, Katie Reid & Stacey Rozensweig as they move on to pursue new ventures in life. Good luck girls, we will miss you!

Thursday, February 12th was Senior Night at Miramonte as the Matadors hosted the Las Lomas Knights.The Lady Mats Varsity basketball team honored four senior players: Chelsey Christensen, Nicholle Miller, Katie Reid, and Stacey Rosenzweig.Christensen and Reid are four-year veteran Varsity players and share this year's co-captain role with Junior Stephanie Golden.Rosenzweig also played four years of Lady Mats hoops -- two years on Junior Varsity and two on Varsity.Miller played Freshman basketball, switched to soccer for two years, and returned to basketball for the unique opportunity to play her final year with younger sister Junior Kristine Miller. All four seniors not only excel on the court but also in the classroom where they each carry high GPAs and have earned various academic honors.It turned out to be a night for the Mats as the Lady Mats sent their Seniors off with another win, besting the Lady Knights 68 to 48.

Several CYO players came to cheer on the Miramonte Matadors Friday night. The players cheered and celebrated with the win over Alhambra. After the game several the girls joined the Miramonte players in the team room for a question & answer session and player signing.
CYO players were happy to learn that all of the lady mats had played CYO. The CYO girls can't wait to become a Lady Mats themselves. The night was complete as the Lady Mats and CYO players had one last cheer together.
