Welcome to the home of the MIRA MESA CHARGERS. The Mira Mesa Youth Football and Cheer Association (MMYFC) is a non-profit organization that has been serving the community of Mira Mesa and other surrounding communities since 1976. We are a member of the San Diego Youth Football and Cheer Conference and the American Youth Football League. Our participants are boys and girls ages 5 - 15.
It is our mission to provide a safe and positive environment to teach the fundamentals of the sports of football and cheer. In doing so the Association and its members will instill in each participant the principles of dedication, hard work, community, honesty, scholastic achievement and sportsmanship.

2012 REGISTRATION INFO
Here are your registration dates for the Fall Season:
SUNDAY, APRIL 1 - VETERANS ONLY: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Open registration: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
SUNDAY, APRIL 22 - 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
FRIDAY, MAY 11 - 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
SATURDAY, JUNE 9 - 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Registration will be held at the Mira Mesa Recreation Center.
The MIRA MESA RECREATION CENTER is located at 8575 NEW SALEM ST
From I-15
Go west on Mira Mesa Blvd
Go aprox. 1 mile to New Salem St (look for the Softball/Soccer fields on the right)
Turn right on New Salem Street
Recreation Center will be on your left
From I-805
Go east on Mira Mesa Blvd
Go approx. 2.5 miles to Camino Ruiz (shopping center on both sides of road)
Turn Left on Camino Ruiz
Go to the first traffic light and turn right on New Salem St
Recreation Center will be on your right
Flag Football - $150
Tackle Football - $275
** A $200 equipment deposit check is required. **
It will be returned uncashed upon return of ALL equipment.
Fees include registration, rental of football uniform (minus cleats), game jersey, spirit pack, trophy and pictures.
Flag & Tackle Cheer - $100
Fees include registration, spirit pack, trophy and pictures. Cheer uniform cost TBA.
Uniform fitting will be on June 16th, time TBA at the MMYFC Office.
Cash, check or money order accepted
$25 NSF fee on all returned checks and suspension of eligibility
Credit/ATM cards are also accepted. There is a 3% service charge.ITEMS DUE AT REGISTRATION: * 2 copies of Birth Certificate * 2 different types of proof of residency (i.e. lease agreement or utility bills - 1 copy of each) * Proof of Medical Insurance A photo will be taken of your child at registration. FUNDRAISER - Each child is required to participate in a MANDATORY association fundraiser at the time of registration or do the $125 buy out option. After May 11, there is NO fundraiser available. There is a $200 buy out ONLY that is due at registration.ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY - Participants must have 2.0 to participate without restriction. Prior to Labor Day participants below 2.0 can practice without restriction but cannot take part in any refereed game. After Labor Day participants must meet eligibility requirements to practice and play in any game.
