Welcome to the official website of MIRA MESA GIRLS SOFTBALL. MMGS is a non-profit youth benefit organization located in San Diego CA. We are operated totally by volunteers and provide a safe atmosphere while teaching the game of softball to the girls of Mira Mesa. Our participants are ages 5 - 14. MMGS is governed by ASA rules with exceptions believed essential for our youth softball program.
TEAM PARENT MEETING
The Team Parent meeting will be on Thursday, February 11th at 6:30 pm. It will be held at Wings-N-Things. Your team parent or a team representative must attend. Picture Day info and other information will be handed out at this meeting.
We are still looking for players. If you would like to sign you daughter up please contact our player agents Erin Kanuha (Upper divisions) or Mary Ngai (Lower divisions)
REGISTRATION FEE
T-ball (ages 5 - 6) - $50
8U - 14U - $100
Registration fee includes jersey, visor, socks, pictures and trophy
New players must bring a copy of their birth certificate

Sibling discount (after 1st full registration) - $10
COACHING CLINIC
So Cal ASA is proud to introduce the 7th year of the Coaches Training Program. The program is developed and designed to provide softball coaches of al levels - from beginning coaches to experienced veterans - an oppurtunity to further their knowledge of the sport of Softball. The coaching clinic will be held on Saturday, February 20, 9am - 2pm at Petco Park. Click HERE to download the registration form.
MMGS MERCHANDISE NOW ON SALE
You can now order MMGS merchandise! We have pullover hooded sweatshirts, full zip hooded sweatshirts, t-shirts, beanies, headbands (the kind that the players can put over their ears on those games on cold nights) and decals. Order forms will be handed out to your Team Parent on February 11th. Or you can click HERE to download the order form. All orders are due on February 27th (Opening Day). Please turn them in to your Team Parent.
OPENING DAY
Opening Day Ceremonies will be on Saturday, February 27th. It will be held at Hourglass Park on field no. 1 and will start at 9:00 am. There will be raffle prizes, banner contest, guest speaker, air brushing for helmets and much more. Come on out and celebrate another start to a great season!
FREE HITTING CLINICS
The clinics will be on Sundays (2/28, 3/7, 3/21 and 4/18) at Mira Mesa High School.
Here are the times:
On 2/28 the times are as follows:
8U and 10U will be 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
12U and 14U will be 2:10 pm - 3:40 pm
On 3/7, 3/21 and 4/18 the times are as follows:
8U and 10U will be at 9:00 am - 10:30 am
12U and 14U will be at 10:40 am - 12:10 am
Come on out if you want to work on your hitting!
FREE PITCHING CLINICS
MMGS is offering FREE Pitching Clinics with DEBBIE CORBETT.
The clinics will be held on Sundays (2/21, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11 and 4/25) at Mira Mesa High School.
8U and 10U will be at 9am
12U and 14U will be at 10am
Come on out if you want to learn how to pitch or work on your pitching!
SKILLS CLINIC
MMGS is offering Skills Clinics on Sundays at Mira Mesa High School. The clinic will be from 9am - 12pm and will be held on the following Sundays:
Feb. 21
Mar. 14, 28
Apr. 11, 25
The clinic will be run by league coaches. This would be a good time to get in some extra work
STATE THE MOVIE
The film STATE is inspired from the lives of two very dynamic and
successful fast-pitch softball coaches, Jimmy Iturralde and Ed Aycock.
