4th Grade Boys - Central Jersey League Champions
to the the 4th Grade Boys Travel team on their championship win! The boys finished their season with a 32 to 31 win in the Central Jersey Championship Game against Clark. They finished their season with an overall record of 23 and 6. The boys placed as the 1st seed in the Central Jersey League, and beat Roselle and Matawan, to secure their spot in the Championship game. Congratulations to the boys for a great season!
Girls U13 - Repeat North Brunswick League Champions
Congratulations to the Monroe Township U14/8th Grade girls travel basketball team for winning both the regular season and playoff championship in the North Brunswick league for the second straight year. The girls defeated a spirited Westfield team in the finals 31 – 19 for their 26th win and 3rd championship of the season. The girls team finished their travel careers with over 100 wins and 9 regular season, playoff and tournament championships including an incredible 6 – 0 mark in championship games. Great jobs girls!!!!!
Girls U10/11 - Manalapan Tournament Champions
The Monroe Township Girls Travel Basketball Team (U10/11 - 5th and 6th graders) won the inaugural Manalapan March Madness Spring tournament with victories in all 3 of their games. They beat Manalapan (24-22), Pinelands (21-19) and Howell (25-7). Congratulations to the entire team for all their hard work!!
8th Grade Girls Win Clark Tournament Championship
Congratulations to our girls 8th grade travel basketball team for winning the Clark Tournament Championship beating a very good Cranford team in the finals 41 – 39. The girls got down 8 points early but battled back and gave a great effort to pull out the victory with less than one second left in the game. We are all very proud of the girls on this team. Their hard work, spirit, fight and no quit attitude contributed to 5 victories and a well-deserved championship. Great Job!!
5th Grade Boys - Sid Lee Holiday Tournament Champions 2011
Congratulations to our 5th Grade Boys on their Championship in the 2011 Sid Lee Holiday Tournament. The team went 4 - 0 in this tournament. Great job!
7th GRADE BOYS - 2011 HAZLET TOURNAMENT CHAMPS
Congratulations to our 7th Grade Boys who went 4-0 in tournament play and defeated Millstone 45-28 in the Championship game of the 2011 Hazlet Tournament.
Boys U13 - MSC League Champions- 2010/11
Congratulations to our U13 Boys who went a perfect 10-0 in the Monroe Sports Center League.
After a first round bye in the playoffs, the team won their semi-final game and advanced to the Championship beating South Brunswick YMCA 55-42 to capture the tittle. Great Job!!
6th Grade Boys - North Brunswick League Champions - 2010/11
Congratulations to our U11 Boys who defeated Old Bridge 41-28 in the championship game of the North Brunswick Basketball League. The team finished with a 10-2 league record and and now have an overall record of 42 wins with just 5 losses.
6th Grade Boys - Central Jersey League Champions - 2010/11
Congratulations to our 6th Grade Boys who defeated a tough North Plainfield team 28-22, to go undefeated (12-0) and repeat as Central Jersey Basketball League Champions.
The team, who finished the season with an overall 44-5 record, also won the North Brunswick League Championship, the Sid Lee Viking Tournament Championship and finished second in the Mid Monmouth League regular season with a 11-1 record. Great job boys!
U13 Girls Immaculate Conception Tournament Championship 2011
Congratulations to the Monroe Township Girls U13 travel basketball team for capturing the Immaculate Conception Thanksgiving tournament championship. The girls defeated a very tough St. Clements team 39 to 38 in the finals. They played inspired basketball going undefeated throughout the tournament and we are proud of them for this terrific accomplishment. GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!
6th Grade Boys Win Sid Lee 2010/11 Holiday Tournament Championship
Congratulations to the 6th Grade Boys Team on their championship run at this year's Sid Lee Viking Classic Holiday Tournament. The team went undefeated in four games, beating South Brunswcik, East Brunswick and Robbinsville in pool play and then taking on and beating a tough West Windsor team in the finals 49 - 35. This is the team's second Championship in three years in this tournament, having won it as fourth graders and advancing to the finals last year.
With this last victory, the team is now 24-3 for the season. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Girls U13 Take Second Place in St. Stans Tournament
Congratulations to our U13 Girls who took second place in the St. Stans Tournament.
Girls U12 - North Brunswick League Champions - 2010/11
Congratulations to the Monroe Falcons U12 girl’s travel basketball team for capturing both the regular season title and the North Brunswick League playoff championship. Playing a tough all 8th grade Edison team in the final the girls were down 5 points early and then came charging back with some of the best basketball played all season to capture the championship in resounding fashion 39 - 26. It was a total team!!! The girls finished their outstanding season with 29 wins.
Girls and Boys Represent Monroe Travel Basketball at 2010 Immaculate Conception Tournament
Congratulations to the Monroe Township Girls U12 basketball team. They beat Sacred Heart’s 8th grade team 32 – 30 to capture 3rd place in the Immaculate Conception Tournament. The girls have been playing outstanding basketball. In this tournament against mostly 8th grade teams, this team of all 7th grade girls went 4 – 1. They have played 8 games in the past 13 days winning 7 of those 8 games. They never give up, never lose faith and always keep working. Well done Girls!
Our Boy's 5th/6th (combined) team also played well, finishing 3 - 0 and winning the Championship in their grade group. This team is composed of eight players from the 6th grade and three from our 5th grade travel teams. This "combo team" concept for the boys was started last year and they will continue to play in tournaments that have 5th/6th grade brackets only. Congratulations Boys!

5th Grade Boys (Purple) - Central Jersey Basketball League Champions 2009/10
Congratulations to our 5th Grade Boys (Purple) team for a successful season with an overall 28-7 record, three tournament championship appearances, a second place finish in the Mid Monmouth Basketball League regular season and, for winning the Central Jersey Basketball League Championship.

U13 Girls Win North Brunswick -2010 March Madness Tournament
Congratulations to the U13 Girls on their Championship in the North Brunswick March Madness Tournament. They participated in the U14 Division and defeated South Brunswick 37-25 in the Championship game.
Team members are: Colleen Campbell, Sarah DeHanes, Kaitlyn Doherty, Marisa Monasseri, Kennedy Nazrio, Marqaux Petersen, Demi Rousseau, Kattie Sessa and Nichole Tatte.

Boys Combined 5th/6th Grade Team Wins Tournament Championship
The Monroe 5th/ 6th boys basketball team won the first tournament they participated in, a Halloween Tournament, held at Cardinal McCarrick in South Amboy this past weekend. The team roster includes: Chad O’Neal(5), Aiden Lavan(5), Peter Nesti(5), Christian Quijano(5), Michael Granda(5), Akash Patel(5), Kenny Lepping(6), Rico Viani(6), Ryan Turco(6), Cameron Browne(6) and Robbie Peto(6).
The team went 3-0 beating OLV (Sayreville) 37-20, St. Stans (South Amboy) 29-16 and St. Mathews (Edison) 34-24 in the Championship game.
U11 Girls - 2009 Sid Lee Vikiking Classic Tournament Champs!
The Monroe Township 6th grade girl’s basketball team captured the championship at the Sid Lee Viking Classic holiday tournament in South Brunswick this past week. The girls played incredibly well and held their opponents to a total of 32 points over 4 games. It was a tremendous effort from the first game to a tough championship game against a spirited Robbinsville team.
The team includes: Gina Conte, Casey Filiault, Hannah Fisher, Jessica Garner, Grace Martini, Kaitlyn Mascali, Jenna Morelli, Caitlyn O’Brien, Sarah Paone, Ashlyn Petersen, Erin Seppi, Kassidy Utheim, and Linda Wallentine.

The MTHA Travel Basketball Program’s mission is to develop and nurture a highly competitive and challenging playing environment in which travel basketball players are enabled to develop the proper basketball skill sets and sportsmanship qualities suitable for the Middle and High School levels of the sport.
