A wrestler must win all three state championships to get a triple crown
Folkstyle,Freestyle,and Greco. Coach Metcalfe added "Eli dominated the field in freestyle and greco.
His folkstyle championship match was the most exciting match I've ever seen him wrestle.
He was down 7-3 and after a break in the action both wrestlers return to the center of the mat.
His opponent shot in and Eli countered and put him on his back for a 5 point scoring move. Then
the ref slapped the mat for the fall. Eli has put alot of hard work into his wrestling
and it is paying off. I expect big things from him in High School."
The Mook Mat Club was announce as a 2010-2011 Gold Medal Club by the Oregon Wrestling Association.
