      The Muhlenberg A's Baseball Association has been feverishly searching for a new coach for 2 of our baseball teams for the upcoming season.  Well, we are happy to announce  that for our Junior Legion coach is over.

We are proud to welcome back George Mendoza to the A's organization as the head coach of our Junior Legion Team.

Mendoza, a life long Muhlenberg Township resident and graduate of Muhlenberg High School, has played baseball at various levels of the game.  Below are some highlights from many years of playing baseball

1. All levels of MTAA baseball
2. All levers of A's Legion baseball
3. 3 - time Schuykill Berks Champ
4. 3 year walk on player at York College
5. for 2024 baseball season.

It will be held on 

Februrary 12th at Muhlenberg Rec Center

on River Road from 

6pm to 8 pm

Dates:

     Sunday January 21, 2024 from 11am - 1pm

     Sunday January 28, 2024 from 11am - 1pm 

Both signups will be held at the Muhlenberg Rec. Center on River Road

Price per player will be $350 

All players can recoup $200 of their payment by selling their calender tickets and their pasta dinner tickets

Pasta Dinner will be held Saturday February 24 at the Muhlenberg High School Cafe from 4 - 8pm

Event: A's summer tryouts/evaluations

Date: Saturday April 15 2023

Time: 11 am - 1 pm

Location: Jim Sheipe Field at Jim Dietrich Park

Rain Date: Saturday April 22 2023 11 am - 1 pm  (if necessary)

Tryouts are for all three levels, prep, junior, senior.  Please have players there and ready to take the field by 11 am.

Lottery Ticket Stubs

     Representatives from the Muhlenberg A's will be at the pavilion at Jim Dietrich park on Wednesday March 22 from 6 to 7pm to collect any remaining lottery calendar stubs that need to be turned in.  If you are not able to turn them in during this time, you will have to contact Terry Heffner (templehef@yahoo.com) to make arrangements to hand them in, they need to all be accounted for by April 1st.

Happy Mother's Day

It is with the deepest 

sympathy that the 

Muhlenberg A's have

lost a respected and 

vital part of our baseball

community, Jim Sheipe Sr.,

former Vice President of

the organiztion.  He has

maintained and cared for the baseball 

field at Jim Dietrich Park

for many years, and in 2021 the organiztion

had the honor of dedicating the

field to him.  He will be a great

loss to the A's community.  The A's 

2022 Season will be played in

honor of Mr. Sheipe. 

Workouts will resume Sunday, 4/24 at Dietrich's park

and continue every Sunday until you are notified.
