A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE WEST PERRY YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB!!! Since the bulk of the kids are football as well as wrestling kids, they have graciously offered to let WPMFA run concessions for the home wrestling tournaments this year, and use the profits toward the new football jerseys. We will need help running the concession stand - serving food, setting up, and cleaning up. Please keep these dates in mind, especially if you are a wrestling parent as well as a football one. If you only have a football player/cheerleader and your child does not wrestle, I hope you will find time on one or more of these dates to come help us. It is strictly concession - no gates, no spiritwear, etc. We try to set up on Friday night before and the more help we have, the faster set up goes. The dates are:  12/18, 1/8, 1/14, 2/4 and 2/18. Please see the WPMFA FaceBook page for more information and contact Bridget Henne at 275-3677 if you can help. Thank you!!!

JERSEYS are for SALE

West Perry Families,

As many of you know from this season, our current jerseys have been discontinued by the manufacturer.  The board has been working on replacement options.  In efforts to acquire the funds necessary to purchase the new jerseys, we are offering players the purchase of their jerseys for this year at $25 apiece.  Not only will this help us raise funds for the purchase of the new jerseys, but it will alleviate space issues for housing the new jerseys.

Your child’s jerseys from the 2016 season will be available to only him/her for purchase until practice starts next summer.  After that, all jerseys will be available for purchase by anyone.

If you are interested, we will be selling them at the equipment turn-ins.  If you’d like to purchase them after that, Melanie Jamison or Jen Poorman are available to make arrangements with you.  Contact information for them is below.

Melanie:  461-5279                                                          Jen:  497-3907

As soon as we have finalized designs for the new jerseys, we will post it on the website and on FaceBook.

Sincerely,
Justin Henne
President/Equipment Manager

There is a GREAT feature on the website. We are able to send out alerts to parents & coaches for changes to the day’s program like practice cancelled, time changes, location changes or just about anything we need to. This will go to your email and your cell phone (if you have texting). All you need to do is click on the link in the upper right or lower left that says text/email alerts and follow the directions. This will NOT cost you anything EXCEPT where standard texting messaging rates apply from your cell phone carrier. This is a quick way of getting important alerts to you. If you have any questions please send an email to the website administrator.

CFA Football League

Zero Tolerance Spectator Rules of Conduct

Youth football is for the development and participation of young children.  Football games are contests that allow our children to learn to honor the game of football.  On the field officials penalize players and coaches when rules are violated and behavior is unsportsmanlike.  Off the field, there are no officials to penalize spectators whose behavior becomes unacceptable due to stress and emotions.

In the past adult behavior that was entirely unacceptable resulted in the expulsion of organizations, adults and guilty persons from the CFA.  Think about that for a moment.  Children were denied the privileges of participating in CFA youth football because of some adult’s inappropriate behavior.  We cannot have this unfortunate situation because it is unfair to our children.

Accordingly, effective August 1, 2011, the CFA, in order to protect the reputation and the participation of our children, hereby adopts the following to be enforced by all CFA Associations.

ZERO TOLERANCE SPECTATOR RULES OF CONDUCT

No Profanity is allowed

No intimidating language or actions shall be directed toward players, coaches, spectators, guests or anyone else

No heckling of game officials, coaches or players

Absolutely no spectators shall be allowed inside the fence during practices or on game days

Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are permitted during practice or games

The unacceptable behavior of a single spectator could endanger the continued participation of our entire group of children in this league.  Consequently, any person who violates any one or all of the “Zero Tolerance Spectator Rules of Conduct” will cause themselves and possibly their participating child/children to be immediately expelled from the CFA Football League.
