February 4, 2012 —
After Our first cage session of the year we have Signed another Great player to add to our conquest for the 2012 NCL championship. Carlos Ruiz, who currently plays For Missouri Baptist University will give us more speed and the power we lost from Derrick Phillips departure. To top it all, off we have several other good players close to signing. Stay tuned for more Info.
As of 2/5/12 the Sox have added another solid play; Michael Schuster. He is a bit of a mystery player, he just showed up to our cages last weekend and was knocking the cover off the ball. Who knew!
Offseason Moves
The 2011-12 off-season was a very busy time of year for the NC Whitesox. After Losing outfielders Derrick Phillips and Geoffrey Leclaire as well as some valuable pitchers; The Sox found themselves in unique position. They were able to make a few key moves and add two pitchers that will help put them right back in the championship finals where they lost last year. With the additions of Matt Ellis, and Robbie McMorris(transfers from the Indians) to a pitching staff that already had Williams and Nicholas They have built themselves one of the Strongest rotations in the league. Ellis brings not only his Ace credentials to the Sox but also his determination to be the best. These two will certainly lead the Sox in the right direction in 2012. There was also another Notable addition. Tyler Bress brings his talents to North County and will help Ellis, Williams, and McMorris build the strongest rotation in the league. With the return of the core group from last years second place finish, and the boost of the new players added this certainly looks to be a banner year for the Whitesox. The energy can't be felt more than from Manager Steve Rampani, When asked what he thought his reply was,"HALF-WOOD I'M SO EXCITED" and I think that puts it perfectly.

Season summary and MVP Award
September 18, 2011 —
At the start of the 2011 NCL season only a few people thought the season would end up as it did. A long season full of ups and downs, A revolving door of players, and a few significant signings (Grooms, Ryan Williams, Derrick Phillips, Goeff Leclaire, and Jason Nicholas) all paved the way to bolster the roster for a 14-15 record and a second place finish.

The 2011 MVP Voting was tight race from start to finish. To show what kind of team we are, I can proudly say that Not a single member of the team voted for themselves. I wish I could give everyone an award, seeing as everyone on the team contributed in so many ways to get us to the championship. But the winner of the 2011 Whitesox MVP Voting in John Hutton. It is noteworthy that 3 players all tied for second place two votes behind.
