All Little League boards in District II were asked by our District Administrator to weigh in on a few topics that will be voted on during the Little League International Congress meeting in early April. Most were minor changes that were not controversial. However, one major change that the Little League Congress will be voting on involves changing the "league age" of our players.
Currently, the age cut off is April 30th. This means your child plays based on his/her age on April 30th. The proposed change is to move the dates to correspond with the calendar year and the date would be moved back to December 31.
NNLL Vice President, Dave Myers, has started an online petition to show the Little League organization how many people are truly opposed to this change. We ask that you consider how this change would affect our league and your family personally and then sign the petition.
