Here are some important dates to mark on your calendar:
November 10th, – Youth Team and JV/Varsity Informational/Sign-Up Meeting in Room D110 Senior High from 7-8 pm...Bring Your Forms!
If you missed the October 13th meeting, lottery tickets were handed out and ticket stubs and $ are due by November 30th, since the lottery is for the month of December. Martha Spatafore has extra lottery tickets, if you would like to sell more. Email Lisa Barry with questions about apparel orders and due dates.
The JV/Varsity Registration Packet can be found in the "Handouts" section to the left. There are 5 forms, in pdf format, and player information can be typed directly onto the forms. Please fill all of the forms out and bring them to the next meeting.
Those interested in participating in the sport must have a physical exam. The examination can be obtained anytime after June 1, 2009, so players do not need to wait until just before the season to get the physical. If lacrosse is your second or third sport this year, Section V, the recertification form, will need to be completed. For more information, go to the North Hills Athletics website -link below.
In addition to the forms, all players must update their membership with USLacrosse online. On the website you can look up your USLacrosse membership number and the expiration date. High School is $35 and youth is $25. Please check the website (link below)for the insurance information provided by USLacrosse as well as other membership benefits.

Wednesday, November 11, 2009 ~ 7pm
There is a guidance program called "Setting a Course to Compete at the College Level" at the North Hills Senior High Auditorium featuring Dan Bartholomae Director of Compliance University of Pittsburgh. The target Audience is high school aged student athletes, parents, coaches and high school counselors. NCAA eligibility includes strict transcript review and therefore begins to touch athletes as early as 9th grade. Most students that are actively thinking about or starting the recruitment process are in the junior/senior years. Anyone from 9-12 grade may be interested in attending. Some 9th and 10th grade parents may find the information helpful, some may find it's "too early".
While there is no need to RSVP, those planning to attend should register ahead of time by calling the North Hills Guidance Department at 412.318.1434 or davisd@nhsd.net.
