The Northern Ohio Semi-Pro Baseball League is currently under the operating
name of the Ohio Independent Baseball League. The OIBL was established in 2006
as a partner league with the NOSPBL which harbored the 2006 NABF National
Champion Cleveland Mosquitoes. In 2009 the league will have six teams
including the Akron Diesel, Ohio Fightin’ Titans, Akron Dream, Columbus Hawks, Akron Lasiks and Sheffield
Mariners. In coming years, the goal is to expand through the entire state of
Ohio while establishing a State-wide ranking system. Good baseball between
respectable teams building reputations as top-tier ball clubs through the OIBL
is the main goal, PLAY BALL!
