Brackets and Rules for League Tournament Posted!!!

The rules and the brackets for the league tournaments are available under the Handouts link. Seeding has been done for all divisions. Make sure you look at the tabs on the bottom of the Excel sheets if you do not see your division when the file opens.
There were two ties that were broken via head-to-head matchups in the regular season. The Giants and Mariners tied for 2nd place in the Cal Ripken Majors division. The Giants won the regular season head-to-head battle 2-1 so they received the #2 seed. In 10U softball, the Aggies and Waves tied for first place. The Waves won the regular season head-to-head matchups 4-3 so they received the #1 seed.
We will also be posting the games in the "Schedules" section of the website so you can keep up there as well.

And don't forget, we'll be holding the raffle drawing for the Apple iPads that you all sold tickets for prior to the 11:00 championship game in the Cal Ripken Majors division on Field #1 on Saturday, June 2nd. You do not need to be present to win. Good luck!!!
What happens when it rains??? Or snows???
Playing baseball and softball in the spring in Idaho is always interesting when it comes to the weather. Often on rainy (or snowy) days we get lots of phone calls about whether or not games have been cancelled. So, we thought we'd let you know how we handle weather issues. The North Side Board works in consultation with the Jerome Recreation District to determine if weather conditions have made fields unplayable. When this is the case, we post information on the website to let everyone know that the games have been postponed. We also call the head coaches of each team that is scheduled to play that night so they can call their players and spread the news. Typically, if games have not been cancelled by 3:00pm that means we will make a "game time" decision about playability. Which means you need to dress warm and be at the ballpark ready to play!
It is really tough to reschedule games so we make every attempt to get games in as scheduled. That means we often play in cold, wet, and windy conditions. But if the weather is so bad that we cannot play, we'll post it here and we'll have your coach call you. Otherwise, the games are on!!!
