Hockey season is just around the corner!!
The OAHA got the process started on August 26th with player registration. If you haven't registered your player(s) yet contact an OAHA Board member and they can assist you. Board members are listed in the link on the left. The OAHA is mindful of the economic climate in the area and has indicated that if, after registering your player it becomes necessary for you to leave the area, do to job loss, they will refund your registration fees. We applaud the Board for making this decision.
The OAHA will be sponsoring a hockey equipment swap on Monday September 14, 2009 from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM at the Ontonagon Recreation Center.
This is for anyone that is looking to buy or sell used hockey equipment!
If you have any equipment that your child has out-grown, you are welcome to set up a table at the rink, you are responsible to be there to sell the equipment.
If you are looking to buy any used equipment at a good price, please stop by and see if we have what you need.
If you have un-needed equipment that you wish to donate to the hockey program, you can just drop it off and we will have a board member at that table.
Set-up will be Sunday, September 13 at 6:00 PM for those who want to set-up a table or two.
Please help spread the word!!
It is a good idea to bring your kid(s) to try on equipment since all sales are final.
Also coming in September or early October will be the call for help in setting up the boards and rolling out coils. With enough help this process can be done in a day instead of a week - even if you only have an hour to give please make a point of helping out, every bit helps!
Just think less than 2 months and we'll be on the ice!!
