OFBA Bat Rules

OFBA does not require stamped bats, however barrel sizes are regulated. Wood bats are not allowed within OFBA. Other towns may have their own bat rules for interleague play.

USA or USSSA bats are allowed if they meet the following rules per division.

Tball - Tball bats or bats with barrell of 2 1/4 inches or less are allowed.
Pinto - 2 1/4 inch barrells or less are allowed
Mustang - 2 5/8 inch barrells or less are allowed
Bronco - 2 5/8 inch barrells or less are allowed
Pony - Pony rules are not determined by OFBA unless they are playing another OFBA team. Pony bat rules are determined by the league they join (Currently Route 6 League). Ask the Division Coordinator or your manager for more details on bat sizes in the Pony division.

Please see the OFBA Rules and Regulations for bat sizes in each division for more details.

Note: Travel (Part Time and Full Time) need to follow rules of the league that they are in (Chicago Sunday League, Illinois Travel Baseball League, etc) regarding baseball bats.

OFBA has instituted a "ZERO TOLERANCE" rule for all managers and coaches regarding the umps.
Any yelling, unacceptable behavior, and trying to embarrass the umps about their calls will not be tolerated anymore.
If any manager or coach is kicked out of a game, they will be suspended until they meet with the board.
If any parent is yelling and trying to embarrass the umps the manager will be kicked out of the game and
suspended until they meet with the board.
