Wade Ishmael Wins HR Derby at 5th/3rd Field

The third annual High School Home Run Derby came to a finish Wednesday, July 31st. Local High School participants battled it out all season long for a chance to compete in the High School Home Run Derby Finale. Oak Harbor’s Wade Ishmael took home the title of Champion. Wade was the first batter of the night. He hit for an impressive 41 points - a new High School Home Run Derby record - including 6 home runs. Start High School’s Ricardo Lizcano was the runner-up. Bedford High School’s Matt Drew finished third. Congratulations to Wade, and all the participants in the 2008 High School Home Run Derby!
