    Our Mission Statement
    Our Mission Statement :

To Help Our Young Ladys Value and Set goals Higher than the normal standard in school.
To Help Our Young Ladys Set Higher Standards for their Behaivior than the normal society has set
To Help Our Young Ladys Value others rather than the individualism that exists, especially in sports today
To develop young players through the teaching of fundamentals and teamwork, stressing sportsmanship and HARD WORK!
To practice and play in a positive environment, with the proper emphasis on competitiveness, respect, & patience.
    1. I believe all players must understand the basic fundamentals of basketball.
    2. I am committed to providing an environment that will continually challenge our young lady's to improve their skills as basketball players.
    3. Collectively, the parents and coaches goals is to produce well-rounded, socially responsible women, who also are fundamentally sound basketball players. The drive to be the best basketball team we can be is an important part of what the OHS Lady Panthers will always strive to achieve each practice and each game. But basketball will never be more important than OUR commitment to the education and the personal growth of our young women.
    Coach Joe

    Our Philosophy
    Our Philosophy :
The key to becoming a great basketball player is the commitment you make to practice....
I have created a very disciplined, well organized, enthusiastic environment to polish your strengths, but most importantly, work on your weaknesses. I have come to the conclusion after coaching 20 years with NJB,YMCA,Private Grade School and High School Levels, that in Basketball the backbone of ALL successful teams lies in the team's ability to Defend, Take Care of the Ball and Rebound!
Just as important as a forward or reverse pivot, we teach listening skills, (how to follow directions, eye contact, body language). Our 3 part definition of Listening is
    1. Hearing
    2. Understanding
    3. Doing/Execution.
We all have to be on the same page to ensure your teamates will enjoy playing with you. Playing Hard, Fundamentally Solid basketball, and being an unselfish teammate are the Foundations that our program is to be built upon!
We not only develope the physical aspect...we will be on the cutting edge of building and maintaining the mental aspect of your game. In closing, my goal is to Have players that have a tremendous yearning to learn the game the OHS Lady Panthers Way. The Result will be these players will be ready for High School Class,High School Basketball any other Sport and Life outside Basketball.
We will be a Performance Level Team which means Playing Time Earned as appossed to a Participation Level Team where everyone gets equal playing time.
Great Parents are Just as Important as the Players. Our Parents must have the same Values, so together we can pass them on to our Young Ladies.
School is more important than Basketball. The Girls Report Card will be reviewed .
