The Optimist Club of Naples has been organizing basketball programs thru the Collier County Middle Schools since 1974.
6th, 7th & 8th graders with boys teams & girls teams play approximatley 7 to 8 games during the season on Sundays with a champion ship game at the end of the season. All games are played at Golden Gate High School between 12:00pm and 4:00pm.

This season we will add 5th grade division. In order for 5th grade players to participate in the program they must join in as a team of 7-10 players and must have a coach. Individual players cannot register. if less than 4 teams signup for the 5th grade division, then those teams will play in the 6th grade division.

The success of the program depends on the support of all participants in the program, including volunteer coaches and sponsors.

Coaching is a great way to get involved with your children and can be extremely rewarding, so please consider your availability when registering your children in the program. In addition, sponsoring a team is also a great way to help support this community program.
