Blues wrap up their season
All good things must come to an end.
For the Blues their 2009-10 season came to an end at the Tournament of Champions in Carleton Place. Playing against the very strong Mississippi Thunder Kings in the tournament's semi final, the Blues put up a spirited effort but fell just short, 3 to 2.
Congratulations to all of the players for a fine season.
HUGE thanks to Coach Kevin Gallagher and his assistants Andrew George and Jim Cooke. Many thanks as well to our uber Manager Dave Osbaldeston.
Blues - close but.....
It is the nature of any championship game that the two teams competing have had to enjoy significant success to make it to the final game.
It is also the nature of a championship game that someone has to win and someone has to lose.
So it was on Championship Sunday. While the Blues did extremely well to make it to the final game and gave it a spirited effort, on this day Kanata was the better team taking the championship game by a score of 3 to 0.
In the days ahead the Blues will be able to look at their "Finalists" trophies and reflect back on what has been a remarkable season.
Well done Blues!

Blues Gold Medal in Arnprior Tournament
On the very same day that our national men's hockey team was competing for the Olympic Gold Medal in Vancouver, the Blues were competing in the Arnprior Midget Tournament.
It was to be Canada's/the Blues' Day!
In Arnprior the Blues took on the CharLan Rebels and the Brockville Braves in the preliminary round. The Blues won both of those games - 3 to 1 over CharLan and 2 to 0 over Brockville.
In the finals the Blues beat the host Arnprior team, 5 to 0.
Congratulations Blues on your Gold Medal Performance!
Blues thank our Sponsors!
