16u Wins East Fairmont Shootout

(FAIRMONT, WV) - The Ohio Valley Hidden Gems 16u program won first place in the East Fairmont Shootout as they made their way to a perfect 6-0 record during the weekend tournament. The team will next be in action May 24-26 as they make their way to compete in the Kings Island Tournament.

Gems 17u Wins at St. Mary's

(St. Marys, WEST VIRGINIA) - The Ohio Valley Hidden Gems 17u squad, guided by Mark Tate, took care of their competition en route to a championship win at the St. Mary's Nays tournament. The team embraced the idea of playing together, playing team basketball and won their contests in exciting fashion. They will next be in action at the Adidas Hoops Challenge in Wadsworth, Ohio this coming weekend.

Elite 14u Squad Breaks Through

May 14, 2012

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)- The 14u Ohio Valley Elite squad breaks through in exciting fashion as they roll to a win in the D2 bracket at the Thomas Worthington Classic. The Eagles were 5-1 on the weekend with the following results:

The best part about the 5-1 record was that they accomplished it all on day two with only six players! The work ethic and the continued growth of their knowledge of the system really stood out as the deciding factors that pushed them to these quality wins.

The squad will next be in action next weekend as they compete in the Central Ohio Basketball Classic in Hilliard.

15u Claims Little Caesar's Jam Fest Title

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The 15u team played this past weekend at the Little Caesar's Jamfest in Columbus, Ohio and performed quite well. The team has shown great growth and further showcased their ability to compete with the state's top programs.

The OV Elite squad bested the Columbus-based Hidden Gems team in overtime by 5 to claim the championship.

16/17u Finishes Second at "The Hoop"

(PARKERSBURG, West Virginia) - The 16u/17u team started the spring portion of the AAU season off on the right foot as they played their way to a second place finish in the Todd Bell Memorial Classic.

"It was great to see that the kids were able to come together and gel like they did, said Program Administrator Josh Derry. They really worked hard and came together as a cohesive unit by tournament end, and it was certainly a step in the right direction for them this early in the season."

The team will now move ahead to the Pickerington Classic, which will take place at several venues just outside of Columbus. The three day tournament is set to tip off Friday 4/13, and the OV Elite squads will each tip off on Saturday 4/14.
