The Penn Ohio Indoor Football League (POIFL) is the newest hard hitting, fast playing indoor arena football minor league in the area of Western Pa, Eastern Ohio and surrounding areas. The POIFL is owned by John Reay who owned the WPA Wildcatz developmental football team. The Wpa Wildcatz won their indoor arena league last season and they were invited to play in a Pro league as a fill in team in the UIFL. Reay says "I have seen what it take at the next level and I see all of the talent in the surrounding areas from Pittsburgh to Erie, and over to Cleveland Ohio. Partners for the POIFL include Steve Byerly, a man that has been around the game for a long time and has played at each level and TJ Burke who is the Director of the Positive Movementz promotions team.
The POIFL will have a DJ on desk at every game, Dj dough boy,stats will be done by MR. Jim Snyder & he will complete play by play stats. At the end of each game you will be able to order a DVD.. POIFL will Create a great feeder league for all the uper level leagues!
League fee is set at $ 2,000 dollars. If you are interested in thirty matching all stitched jerseys the fee will be $ 3,000 dollars. Any additional jerseys will be $ 50.00 dollars. Included with league registration $3,000 package will be three polo coaches shirts FREE!!!
We have decided to limit the 2013 season to 8 teams.
Once you sign the POIFL contract you will not have to worry about finding a stadium to host your games, referees, camera men, chain gangs, etc. After you commit to the POIFL all you need to focus on is getting your team ready to compete and showing up on game night. First come first serve on team colors and team names. Due at registration is a $ 500.00 dollar deposit that is due as soon as possible. Once you have made your security deposit you may set up a monthly payment plan or biweekly plan through January 1st 2013. POIFL is set to start at the beginning of January 2013.
POIFL will have eight teams divided into two divisions, The Elite and The United Divisions. There will be one playoff of the top two teams in each division and a championship game followed by the Elite ALL- STAR Game. At the end of the season we will select a league MVP, offensive player, defensive player, and Coach of the season. This is not like any other indoor arena football league, this league will run professionally. Here is your chance to prove your talent and get a shot at the next level, BRING IT!
At the end of the season a league champ will be crowned with a trophy and the game MVP will be awarded a trophy. The POIFL will also crown the leagues offensive and defensive players of the year, coach of the year and the MVP of the POIFL.
Here are a few things to remember committing to the POIFL....
This is not your average minor football league, we will operate one way only, the right way!
- Fight with other players will not be tolerated
- Ejected from a game will be a 1 game suspension and 1 $100 follar fine
- If a player is ejected twice from a game, that will cause a league suspension, may request for a league appeal
- Uniforms and helmets must match.
- Rosters are turned in by week 2. Teams will have a 30 man roster & 25 players active
- You may add players to your roster with an additional $100 player fee
- POFIL will be based off the CIFL field rules. We will have a POIFL rule book at each game for coaches to review
- Coaches, players, and other members of your organization will dress appropriately and act professionally. REPRESENT your ORGANIZATION
