Are You Interested in Becoming a USSF Certified Referee?
Upcoming Referee Re-Certification, Bridge and Certification Classes
Dear Referees,
It’s that time of year again. All USSF Referees must be certified for the current year. If you’re uncertain, check the year on your badge. If yours doesn’t have a” 2010” on it, you will need to recertify. The good news is that there are a number of recertification clinics being held up North, including one that Platte Valley Soccer Club will be hosting at the Brighton Recreation Center. This class will be a “2010 Recertification” for Grade 9 & 8’s.
For a complete listing of all clinics, go to http://coreferees.org/ and click on the “Current Clinic Schedule” icon on the right panel of the screen. After you decide on a class, contact the registration contact on the schedule to confirm availability and get your name on the list.
At the bottom of the to http://coreferees.org/ screen, there is a panel labeled “NOTE: Please Keep Your Biographical Information Up-To-Date”. Click the link titled USSF Annual Online Re-Registration within the panel and detailed instruction are provided for you to register online and pay the fee for the clinic you choose.
If you have questions, please call me.
Thanks,
Kevin Barnes

Developmental Soccer with Platte Valley Soccer Club-Where the Learning Starts
Ever wonder how the best soccer players in the world become so good? They start with touching the ball, developing skills, exposure to good coaching, and most importantly having fun. Proper training with supporting skills work provide the foundation for young players to grow and learn how to play the "World's Game". That is the foundation of soccer at Platte Valley Soccer Club.
Touches on the ball, having fun, touches on the ball, learning proper technique, touches on the ball, gaining confidence, touches on the ball, qualified coaching, touches on the ball, and lastly, did we mention? Touches on the ball! Platte Valley Club Soccer emphasizes player development while offering young players the opportunity to enjoy the game at either recreational or competitive levels.
A focus on winnng, just for the sake of winning, is shortsighted. For the recreational player, the emphasis is on learning and enjoying soccer while building confidence, esteem and sporstmanship. In addition to these qualities, for those players who seek a more competitive level, there are opportunties to advance and play to Soccer's highest levels. Come see for yourself, and support your local futbol club. Families and Players-Welcome to Platte Valley Soccer!
