Meeting Minutes
League Fee for 2012 season has been reduced to $900 per team
*New teams will pay addtl $120 deposit, and refunded when that team leaves the league.
*Umpire cost fees set at $70 per single and $60 for DH
Season Format for 2012
***There will be no draft for 2012 season. Players looking to join a team, please evaluate roster sizes and contact team manager from list to schedule a work out.
***Opening day scheduled for April 29th
***Teams must have league fee paid in full by May 13th or team cannot play until league fee is paid
*Schedule set for 21 games per 8 teams
Seven 9 inning games format on Sundays
Seven 7 inning games to be played as double headers
May 27 will be set as bye / makeup weeks
Start times will be 10AM.
Two 9 inning games will be scheduled accordingly at the same field. The feilds selected will be Reeders and Mountain View Park. Morning game and an afternoon game style format scheduled for 10am / 2 pm game starts
Playoff Format for 2012
*Top 4 teams will qualify for playoffs for 2012
*The League will revisit round 1 in being a best of 3 format*****
*The championship will be a best of 3 series, first two games will be 7 innings and Game 3 if needed would be a 9 inning game.
By-Laws discussed
1. Grandfather clause- no longer in effect, must play min. games required
2. Pinch Runner Rule- For Catcher and Pitcher with 2 outs, the last out will be the runner.
3. 10 Run rule- will be in effect for all games
**** For 9 inning games, the 10 run rule is effective after 7
**** For 7 inning games, the 10 run rule is effective after 5
4. Two forfeited games during the season will result in being banned from the playoffs
5. Eligibility for the playoffs will require each player to have played in 7 games.
6. Roster size max has been reset to - 25 players
7. Roster size min- 14 players
8. Designated runner rule implemented for 2012. Designated runner will have to be off the bench and can only enter game in position designated

*Reeders, MT View, Cresco, Dansbury,Pocono MT West are the field chosen for 2012 season.
*Insurance policy is in effect until April 24th new policy will take effect April 25th. All Deductibles will be paid by the player using the insurance, the league will not pay for anyone’s deductible payment.
Deductible is $100 for a player who is injured, the policy is a secondary policy unless player does not have their own insurance.

The Pocono Mountain League Baseball is a non-profit volunteer based corporation dedicated to providing a quality baseball experience to its participants and to promoting amateur baseball.

Welcome to the Pocono Mountain League Baseball, enjoying growth since 1995. The PMLB is located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains in North East PA. We play in the heart of the “Pocono Mountains” and enjoy both great baseball but great scenery as well.
The Pocono Mountain League Baseball is looking for new players, teams and coaches to join the spring/summer season. Ages are 18 and older.
