The Vikings were the unanimous choice to win the Mountain Division, while Sacramento State was selected to win the Coastal Division in the inaugural year of division play. The PCSC has expanded from six to 12 teams this year, and split into two divisions.
Portland State received all 12 first place votes in the Mountain Division and also got nine of 12 votes to win the first-ever PCSC Championship Series.
All schools will play a 20-game conference schedule against teams within their own division. The two division winners will meet May 14-15 in a best-of-three championship series, with the winner earning the PCSC's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. Previously, the regular season champion advanced to the NCAAs. Read More Here

High School Scores and Schedules
High School spring sports start in Oregon on Monday 3/15 2010. There are several places on the net for HS scores: www.oregonlive.com has a sortable "scores/schedule" thing that is pretty good. Also the "Forums" can be helpful for scores. The PIL site has the PIL schedules for the spring sports available HERE. They were updated on 3/13/09. The most important thing to have if you're going to go see a PIL game is the rain-out phone number 503-916-3226. It is updated every day. Other Portland area league pages are here: www.nwoc5a.org www.metroleague.org
OregonPrepSports.net is "Oregon's High School Sports Source". It is a very informative site with schedules, scores, standings and more for H.S. sports in Oregon. oregonsportscores.org is another site you might try.
Advanced Statistics Primers~WPA
Alex Remington of Big League Stew has been putting together a series of excellent posts about various advanced statistics, check out Everything you always wanted to know about: WPAWhat does it stand for?: Win Probability Added.
As Hardball Times's Dave Studeman has written, it's gone by a lot of different names. "Player Win Averages," "Player Game Percentage," "Win Expectancy," "Player's Win Value," etc. But WPA is the the most common name for it these days.
How to calculate WPA: Though the arithmetic can be a mother, Win Probability Added is one of the easiest of all the advanced stats to explain. Put simply, it's a measure of how much any game event contributes to the eventual outcome of the game, win or loss.
