Welcome to Port Orange Soccer Club

The Port Orange Soccer Club is a not for profit youth soccer club located in Port Orange, Florida. The club is managed by an elected board of volunteers and is dedicated to serving the youth of Port Orange and surrounding communities. Over the past several years, the Port Orange Soccer club has become one of the premier youth soccer organizations in the area.

Our team of elite coaches and volunteers provide boys and girls from age 7-18 a competitive soccer experience. It is our objective for all players to reach their fullest potential as players and individuals, learn how to play with skill, imagination and creativity, develop a love and passion for the game, and to find success in whatever they aspire to do. Throughout our history the Port Orange Soccer Club has produced many outstanding soccer players.

The Port Orange Soccer Club is affiliated with the Florida Youth Soccer Association and most of our teams compete in the Greater Central Florida Soccer League.Games are played under the affiliation and rules of the FYSA and the US Youth Soccer Association. Games for the fall season begin in September and consist of a ten game season. The spring season games begin in March and consist of eight games. Half of the season’s games are played at our home fields and the other half are played away. Players of High School age play eight games in fall starting in August, and eight games in the spring.

Spring 2015 Season
The Port Orange Soccer Club begins the spring season on February 28. There are a few open roster positions on various teams; anyone interested in joining the club for the spring season should fill out a post tryout inquiry form.  We currently have 27 competitive soccer teams for boys and girls from u8-u19.  All POSC teams compete in league play with GCF & FPL. Some POSC teams compete at the State Cup & Region Cup Level. The Port Orange Soccer Club wishes good luck to all teams across Florida.

City Council Meeting
On February 3, 2015 we once again had an opportunity to appear before the Port Orange City Council as part of our ongoing effort to gain improved facilities. We had a tremendous turnout from players, parents and coaches with our supporters spilling out of the meeting room into the lobby. Members of the council affirmed their support and we came away with a renewed sense of hope as well as some actionable items which should take us closer to our goal. (link to meeting: https://www.port-orange.org/meetings/?p=view&video=118692021&) (POSC presentation commences at 25:01)

It has been confirmed that ground is set to be broken on the new soccer-specific field at the Coraci Sports Complex on February 10th and work is set to commence on the Southwinds rehabilitation project by the first week in March.  These facilities should be available to us for play beginning in Fall 2015.

Richard James "Rich" Paterson Memorial Scholarship
Port Orange Soccer Club is proud to announce establishment of the Richard James “Rich” Paterson Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship honors the memory of Rich Paterson our longtime District B2 Referee Administrator and Assignor, who passed away on November 21, 2014. Rich was a true friend to our Club and all within it. An exceptional referee, he was an even better ambassador for the game of soccer. He embodied all that is good about sports, particularly youth sports, and epitomized good sportsmanship. An example for us all, he will truly be missed. The scholarship, which will be awarded twice per seasonal year to Port Orange Soccer Club players who aspire to become referees, will pay $200 for referee training, licensing and equipment.  Successful applicants will demonstrate sportsmanship, teamwork, responsibility, reliability, community service and academic excellence.

Interested parties may find additional information about the scholarship by clicking on the forms link on the left menu. Send completed scholarship forms to POSC 1648 Taylor Road #456 Port Orange FL 32128.
