O'Brien and Baxendale honored
Clint O'Brien has been awarded one of the four 2008 MCALL College Scholarships. The Scholarship, named after Gorgia Johnson, is $500 payable toward Clint's freshman tuition at the college of his choice.
Sam Baxendale has been chosen by MCALL to receive the 2008 Team Sportsmanship Award for Post 218.
Both awards were given during the MCALL Awards Ceremony on July 23, 2008, at Lawrence Post 414 Headquarter. Congratulations to both Clint and Sam.

Post 218 All-Stars did well in Mercer-Buck Game
The Interleague All-Start Game was played on June 29 evening with a tie score, 2 to 2. Buck Team had only 4 hits and Mercer Team had 6 hits for this 9-inning game, in which our three Post 218 All-Stars did extremely respectable. Jim Fuhrman pitched in the 6th with one K, and Mark Madden pitched in the 8th. Neither allowed any hit nor any run. For the offense, only Clint O'Brien, among all players from both Teams, hit two singles with two plate appearances. His RBI single in bottom of 8th inning broke the 1-1 tie to give Mercer one-run lead. Mark would have gotten the 2-to-1 win if the last Mercer pitcher had not given up a single, a wild pitch, a single and another wild pitch to let Buck Team score one run that tied up the game.
Congradulations to the three All-Stars, representing the Post 218 Team well.
Three Members selected as MCALL All-Stars
Jim Fuhrman, Mark Madden and Clint O'Brien of Post 218 Senior Team have been selected by MCALL Managers as MCALL All-Stars to play in the Mercer-Buck All-Star Game at Fred Walters Field, Moody Park in Ewing, on Sunday, at 7 pm, June 29, 2008. Congratulations to these three players.
The Mercer-Buck All-Star Game is a nine-inning game and is one of the two MCALL fund-raising events for the three MCALL college scholarships.
Six Members from Senior Team selected as All-Stars

Danny Etherton, Jim Fuhrman, Mark Madden, Joe Mayes, Clint O'Brien and Ben Siegel of Post 218 Senior Team have been selected by MCALL Managers to play in the Intraleague All-Star Game at Moody Park, Ewing, on Sunday, 1 pm, June 22, 2008. Congratulations to these six players.
The Intraleague All-Star Game is one of the two MCALL fund-raising events to fund the three MCALL college scholarships. Mr. Parker will be the manager of one of the two All-Star teams, whose name is Team Parker.

This is the schedule for the Junior American Legion team for Princeton Post 218. This schedule should be final but check periodically for announcements of changes.
Be careful about the game start times and the locations, including the special notes for multiple sites (i.e. Ewing Moody vs Ewing HS). You must notify the coach in advance of any games you know you will miss.
You should refer to the prior schedule for water and ice assignments until this one is update with that information.
