U14 win 25-17 at Fallbrook
WOW WOW WOW!!!

"I watched 12 players individually make awesome plays, and more importantly bring it together as a team to play some real hardcore rugby. Despite some usual referee issues, I am very proud from what I witnessed yesterday in Fallbrook. I want to thank each and everyone one of you for your efforts. Not only did you guys play hard, you played fair, and no one got down on their team mates. I saw only positive communication and encouragement. Keep up the good work Gentlemen. And the MVP's are:   Alex Erdmann, Richard Shea, Jonah Calio, Kyle Stout, Cole Crandall, Jordan Novick, Brandon Winegarden, Johnny Sheehan, Daniel Hardiman, Matthew Long, Seth Hamson, and Grant Cotner. Also a big thanks to my assistant Austin Wski, Mr. Crandall for touch judge, Anita Wski for match report, and of course the families cheering their support on the side line."   -- Coach Dave

U-12 win "B" bracket at Back Bay Tournament
Thank you!

"U12 Families,
I wanted to tell all of you Thank You for being so patient today. It was confusing, frustrating and at times, seemingly chaotic but you guys hung in there and I know our boys realized that because they may have had one of their best matches to date.

They won that last match not in the normal way we play, by kicking behind them and beating them with our speed, but they made a decision within themselves that they would show the Wallabies they can play more traditional Rugby as well. Forwards won most of the scrums and rucks, out-hustled their backs and didn't miss very many tackles. And I was worried because just 5 minutes before start of the match, they were playing tether-ball with the rugby ball and caution tape. But that was their way to stay relaxed and not worry about the match so much. From where we were a few weeks back when we played the Wallabies the first time, to how they played today...very different! And we would have demolished Manhattan Beach which I'm telling myself is the reason they just left!

So please pass on a very sincere "well done" to your boys and they should be proud because they won their bracket, something 12 other teams cannot claim and they are CHAMPIONS! Oh and by the way, this was also the first time Poway has beaten a Wallabies team. Should make for a very good match in 2 weeks. Thank you again for being such great supporters of your boys. I'm proud of them as I know you are as well." --- Coach Calio
