This spring and summer we are putting together Travel Club Teams and doing fundamental clinics throughout San Diego County. Our Travel Club TEAMs will continue to be called the San Diego Cougars P.R.E.P. which stands for (Preparing Respectful Educated Players) we are going back to just teaching the fundamentals while having the kids play with passion and compete hard. Because organization isn’t just a ordinary club, but a "program" and "culture" that has sustained the true test of time for 20 years. We want to help all our kids get into colleges/universities as well as anyone for that matter in any way we can. We want them to be respectful, have great character and learn how one day give back to their immediate communities while they continue on to their professional careers. Our players will be required to be volunteering at organization such as the Ronald McDonald House, Polisky Center and the San Diego Center for Children. We will ask to see kid’s grades and help them if they require tutoring. We want to be able to help send kids on college trips to learn about the visiting process and help with the SAT/ACT test.

The travel teams will compete in the biggest and highest profile sanctioned basketball events in the United States, where universities and college coaching staffs are in attendance. San Diego Cougars/P.R.E.P. goal is to provide student athletes with the exposure necessary to gain an opportunity to pursue a higher education. We are geared toward assisting student athletes of all cultural backgrounds both academically and athletically. We also want to provide an environment for each athlete to develop and maximize their individual skills, and develop the spirit of sportsmanship and giving back.
While we cannot guarantee scholarships will be offered, we will use accurate information to promote the student athlete. Our staff has a rich history of helping student athletes make the transition from high school to college and beyond. Being a part of the Cougars P.R.E.P. program requires commitment, time, effort, passion, and financial resources. The training and development, exposure and experiences that your child will receive will be memories for a lifetime, very beneficial and well worth the investment.
