2014 Fall Baseball; levels of play & sign ups

2014 Fall Ball sign-ups are now open.    Signs ups will close 8/3/14


Here is how Fall Ball works;

-we have a ‘limited’ number of spots.  Sign-ups for certain levels ‘may’ close PRIOR to August 3rd if the teams become full.  Teams are maxed out to 12 spots per team. This is a developmental program and we are limiting spots per team for that reason.


-Fall Ball is by special request. You can request to play with your favorite friends or coach, as space is available. Do not wait until right before the deadline to sign up. You will receive an email/phone call from your assigned coach by 8/8/2014. ** Be sure when you sign up to make the special request in the notes box of who you wish to play with or for.    USE THE PLAYER REGISTRATION TAB TO THE LEFT TO SIGN UP & THEN ONLINE BELOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS MESSAGE.  COST IS $65


-Practices will not begin until the 2nd/3rd week of August & times/dates/locations of practices won’t be decided upon that time.  Games will begin the 1st week of September. ALL games are played away at Sunrise Little League in Citrus Heights as they have lights. There will be 1 weekday game, days will vary and start at 6pm.  There will be 1 weekend game on Saturdays, times will vary.  ** All game times are scheduled by the league host and outside of the control of RCLL. *** Majors and Juniors will have a more complex schedule with a few games at home and various other leagues around town.


-Your fee covers a hat and shirt.  Your team manager will let you know what color socks and pants you will need once the teams are finalized. There is no multiple player discount for Fall Ball.


- Your player ‘should’ play on a fall team where they hope to play in the spring. Below are the options;

           -Fall Camp- if you wish to sign up for FALL CAMP, simply pay the $40 below at the bottom of this page (see the drop down payment menu) and you will be contacted!


            - Coach Pitch;  100% coach pitch entire fall season. This is ideal for players who have played 1 year of Coast or wish to play in Coast next year.  Players must be at least 6 years old by 9/30 and have played 1 year of Tball. Players cannot be 8 years of age and play in Coach Pitch. Coach Pitch is designed for 6-7 year olds. This is a pilot level for us and we will sign up 2-4 teams at this level. 

            - Farm league; 100% kid pitch. This is ideal for players who wish to play in the American league next Spring or who recently played in the American league, ages 7-9.  Designed for players who have played at least 1 year of Coast.  This is a pilot level for us and we will sign up 2-4 teams at this level.

            -Nationals; This league is perfect for players age 9-10 year olds.  For a successful experience, players who have played at least 1 year of American are desired for this league as well as players who played Nationals in 2014 and are not ready to move up to Majors.

            -Majors; This league is designed for players league age 10-12 as of 4/30/2015.    If you had a skilled year in Nationals and would like to try out for Majors in 2015, this would the league for you. 9 year olds may play with approval.


           -Juniors; This league is designed for players league age 13-15 as of 4/30/2015. 



We will also offer a special FALL CAMP on Sundays starting in September and ending in October.  The cost will be $40 and the camp is open to league age 6 and  7 year olds who wish to play in the American League next year. MORE INFO TO COME EARLY AUGUST.



Once the signs ups are complete, we will evaluate and reach out to any parents that we think a player may not be signed up appropriately. We’ve based the ages on how other leagues will structure their teams for the fall to ensure the players have a competitive and enjoyable experience. We do not collect a VDR for the fall season. EVERY team MUST work the Sunrise Little League snack bar 1-2 times throughout the season and your manager will have advance notice of that date. We will also need to provide a volunteer scorekeeper for each home game.

 Last- if you would like too ‘manage’ a fall team (be the responsible party for the team), please send your request to no later than 7/27/14.   Requests are honored as received and will be evaluated by the board.  Approvals are separate from the spring season and EVERY person must reapply.  If you wish to help ‘coach’ please list that in the notes box on the registration sign up.
