2009/2010 WWKWL Pre-Season Tournament

The Sammamish/Redmond Bulldogs will be hosting the 2009/2010 Western Washington Kids Wrestling League Pre-Season Tournament at Inglewood Junior High in Sammamish on Sunday, November 22, 2009. The tournament is open to all WWKWL teams. See the tournament flyer in the Handouts section.
Bulldog Wrestling 2009/2010 Season Open for Registration

Registration is now open for the 2009-2010 Bulldog season. You can register at the Redmond/Sammamish Boys and Girls Club site. The cost is $70 (plus a $40 membership fee if you haven't signed up for other activities in the past year).
You will also need a USA Wrestling card to participate in any events, which you can get here. You should sign up as a member of the Sammamish Bulldogs team. The cost is $42.
The program is intended to support kids wrestling from elementary through middle school. That said, some of the tournaments we wrestle in will likely be restricted to kids born during the years 1996 - 2003, which may preclude some of the oldest middle school kids from participating in these events. They can skip these events and still participate in matches and practices.
We hope to see many returning Bulldogs as well as some fresh faces. Many of the coaching staff are returning, and we hope to have some additional help from new parents as well.
The season is tentatively scheduled to start October 26th and run through the end of January, with a two-week break during the holidays. Practices will be Mondays and Fridays, 6PM - 7PM at Evergreen Junior High in Redmond, with a extra session from 7:05PM - 7:30PM for the advanced wrestlers.
If you have any questions prior to the start of the season, please feel free to contact a coach. Otherwise, we'll see you on the mat!
2008/2009 WWKWL League Championships

The WWKWL League Championships were held last weekend, and the Redmond/Sammamish Bulldogs had a phenomenal showing:
- Bryson Harshman, Intermediate 65 lbs., Participant (19 man bracket!)
- Jonah Beeman, Bantam 50 lbs., Participant (15 man bracket!)
- Derek Galipeau, Bantam 60 lbs., 6th Place (14 man bracket!)
- Blaine Minton, Intermediate 75 lbs., Participant (8 man bracket)
- Sam Kipfer, Intermediate 80 lbs., 2nd Place (6 man bracket)
- J. T. Ahlberg, Novice 70 lbs., 5th Place (8 man bracket)
- Justin Harshman, Novice 70 lbs., 1st Place (8 man bracket)
- William Dubois, Novice 70 lbs., Participant (8 man bracket)
- Campbell Shaffer, Novice 80 lbs., Participant (8 man bracket)
