Devils Pull Off Last Inning Heroics To Tie Longhorns
The Devil's scored 5 runs in the 9 inning to take the game into extra innings agains the Longhorns. But after 2 more innings, the umpires called the game ending it in a tie.
Pitching was lead by Jeremy Middendorf and Mike Pratt. Jermey pitched 7 innings allowing 9 runs, 6 earned. Mike pitched 4 innings allowing 1 hit and striking out 6.
Offensively, Coach Billy Lewis lead the way going 3 for 4 with 4 RBI's and a 9th inning double to help the Devils to a tie. Other notable performances include Ryan Daniels who went 1 for 2 with 2 walks and Jeremy Middendorf who went 2 for 5.
2nd Annual NABA All Star Game Results
On a beautiful day at GCS Stadium, the South team that the Devils were a part of, lost a tough game to the North team 7-2. Although we no longer have home field advantage in the World Series, it is appropriate to recognize the Devil's contributions.
Brad Karn started at 1B for the North team and went 1 for 2 with an off the wall double in the 1st inning. He would later score. He also hit a sac fly to left notching an RBI.
Jeremy Middendorf started as the DH and went 1 for 3 with a single in the 7th inning down the 3rd baseline.
Mike Pratt pitched a strong 6th inning allowing 1 earned run and notching 1 K.
Matt Hodge came into the game in the 7th inning at CF and recorded 2 putouts and hit a line drive to left field that was caught. Matt was 0 for 1 on the day.

Devil's Send 4 Players to NABA All Star Game
August 2nd at 3:30 pm will be the 2nd annual NABA All Star Game at GCS Stadium in Saguet Illinois. Representing the Devils include:
Jeremy Middendorf (C/IF/P) - .488 BA 18 RBIs
Brad Karn (IF/C) - .400 BA 24 RBIs
Matt Hodge (OF) - .373 BA 10 RBIs
Mike Pratt (P/OF) - 3 Wins 29 IN 46 Ks
Congratulations to the these four players as we're confident they will represent the Devil's baseball organization.
