Spirit goes undefeated with a perfect 9-0 record to win the 2013 USSSA 16U Easten World Series. The girls put up 77 runs while only giving up 7. Dominant pitching by both Brooke and Courtney resulted in 4 shut out games. Behind the plate Christina and Emily called perfect games and kept the pitchers on their game. In the infield Christina, Emily, Amber, Sarah, Brooke and Courtney put together some incredible plays. In the outfield Jessica, Sabrina, Morgan and Carliana kept the big hits from falling in and made some great catches. The defense was without a doubt second to none. At the plate the bats couldn't have been any hotter. Through out the line up every girl had some big hits. Not only big hits but timely hits. Scoring many of our runs with two outs. With the long ball's coming from Christina (2), Courtney (2)  and Jessica (4). Non more dramatic than Jessicas two run shot in the 6th inning of the semi final game to launch us into the Championship Game. What a great way to finish the season on top. A team effort both on and off the field a group of girls that are second to none.
