Rossville, KS - The Rossville Rattlers of the Mid-Plains League are proud to announce the signing of six players for the 2015 season. Tim Schaareman (University of Nebraska-Omaha), Collin Scribner (Tarleton State University), A.J. Doolittle (Park University), Matthew Nerz (Kansas State University), Garrett Weber (Independence Community College), and Jacob Head (Hayden High School).

Schaareman is a red shirt freshman middle infielder at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and will return for his second season in Rossville. Schaareman, a product of the Netherlands, hit .312 with the Rattlers in 2014.

Scribner will be a red shirt freshman at Tarleton State University this spring after transferring from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. This will be the second season in Rossville for the 6'2, 215 lb infielder-outfielder from Aubrey, Texas.

Doolittle has made the move from the Northwest to the Midwest, as the junior is set to play at Park University in Parkville, Missouri. The Medford, Oregon native is entering his third season as a Rattler and will be a key member of the bullpen this season.

Nerz is a freshman at Kansas State University and this will be his first season in Rossville. He was named to the first team all-district team as a catcher in his senior season where he hit .387 with 30 RBIs in 2014.

Weber is starting his sophomore season at Independence Community College as he plays outfield and first base. The 6'3, 220 lb native of Mound City, Kansas is retuning for his second season as a Rattler in 2015.

Head is a standout three-sport athlete from Hayden High School in Topeka, Kansas. Jacob was a 2014 KABC 4A-1 All-State performer last season, striking out 57 batters, walking only 7 and commanding a 1.63 ERA in 43 innings.
